Kingston is very nice. It’s safe if you’re familiar with your environment and the places you go. I am usually in New Kingston. And this was my first experience staying in Downtown Kingston and it is safe! We walked around the downtown area by ourselves and we were safe. We were 3 women. Kingston is City and it’s no different than any other city in the world.

Kingston is a place for dancing and food.
Kingston is a place for dancing and food. There isn't much amusement as in bowling arcade places or things of that sort but there is lots of life. The people can be a hit or a miss just like everywhere but you will have a great time full of music throughout the town as well as Jamaican culture with vendors and beautiful water everywhere. Food is always great and just beautiful weather is always a place to go.

I come to Kingston to visit family, friends, and to do mission work. I would not come to Kingston to hang out. It is dangerous and chaotic...but I like it. I grew up in Naples, Italy where it's very similar. I love the people, the roughness, the danger, and the real aspect of Jamaican living. Many Americans may not like it here. This is not a resort town. Just be aware of it. I lived here for five years and love it...but it is challenging at many levels. You drive on the left here and that is a challenge if you are not used to that as well.

What a nice Experience Kingston is.
What a nice Experience Kingston is. I stayed at the corner of Duke and Queen with Chillinn at Duke. Walking to the harbour in the morning. Watching the city come alive. Street venders selling porridge, chicken foot soup, fresh fruit and what ever else you are interested in. Got more hassled in Negril. There is lot here. Peter Tosh, Bob Marley exhibit, museums. Big city stuff. I did not go out at night to much, just like any other big city I have been in the world. Irea. Take Kingston in.

The people are amazing, every single person we met was friendly, helpful and happy! The only downside was having to be aware of where you can walk but you get that in most big cities. The standard of driving leaves a lot to be desired and the potholes are something else. But Kingston is an experience and as long as you are careful it is a joy to be part of. Gloria’s in Port Royal is worth a trip if you like seafood. Catch a boat out to Lime Cay for a few hours is also like nothing else - watch the pelicans swooping into the sea for fish while you’re sipping beer on the beach! 👍👍. Devon House for patties and the must see - Marley Mansion along Hope Road along with a visit to Emancipation Park 👍

I enjoyed my stay in Kingston, whether out walking and sightseeing or relaxing in my apartment. People are friendly and helpful and I felt safe everywhere that I went, all during the daytime.
I visited the Bob Marley house and garden museum, the Devon House museum and centre, the downtown craft market and saw other neighbourhoods, using local taxis. I cooked all of my own meals in order to keep the price of my visit down.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even offering to cook an alternative meal that wasn't on the menu. The hotel was clean and the general facilities were good. Our room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable and a good size. The pool was clean and enjoyable to relax by and in. There was a reasonable choice of food and beverages on offer at breakfast and the food was served hot. The in-house restaurant offered a good choice of food for those eating meat and fish and the food was well cooked.
I liked the fact the rooms are very big even a regular room. There is also a casino attached to the hotel if you are a gambler and a bar that plays music. Also across the street basically is Devon House which is for family solo and romantic couples if you like a park like scenery with Icecream a bakery and even an upscale Steak Restaurant as well as other places to eat and on Sundays there are plenty of vendors. There are also stores and restaurants walking distance and the area is very busy but safe...
This is the third time I stay here. The staff are like extended family at this point. They are amazing and kind and have looked after me and looked out for me in more then one way. They are currently doing a few renovations extending the space which will only add to an already awesome city hostel.
I love the space. Super social. Always meet great people here. I love Kaya herb house and all of the music and vegan options in the back yard there.
I will always recommend this place!
Donna was very friendly and greeted me on arrival. I was shown to my room & the use of facilities. The house was lovely and clean with air conditioning in my bedroom. I had a good night sleep and was very excited to tuck into my breakfast in the morning. This was amazing! It was even nicer than the breakfast I had at the hotel, previously. This house is a good location with a nice view of Redhills in the night. This is definitely value for money. Thank you, Donna
Perfect stay! The studio was spotless clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay.
The location is great (near Sovereign mall, Devon House ice cream, and Chilitos dinner). We felt safe in that area.
The host was very friendly, kindly accommodated our last minute booking (Thanks James!), and was very helpful with sharing tips and things to do in the area.
Internet was fast and AC worked well.
Highly recommend this place!
The place is in the right place. Central location right across from Devon house and other food locations. The staff was friendly, especially Richard, who served us dinner in the evening and for breakfast. Shari was excellent with her customer service she made my day, and last but not least, Oshane was very nice as well. Thank you very much for making my stay a great one, I would definitely stay there again.
The LC is a wonderful place to stay with its tennis courts, swimming pool , weight room and a great restaurant. The thing i love the most is, because of the amount of land it sits on, you feel you like you are away from New Kingston, yet everything in New Kingston is no more than a 5 to 10 minute walk. it is also right next to Emancipation Park
host is very communicative re the how tos and the sort … great value for money ….
easy access to go on ruthven to make your way into new Kingston ….or Mona…as you are right there in half way tree near Saint Andrew high school for girls . will book again for my next stay in Jamaica.
Everything was perfect, huge comfortable bed, very nice host, great location in new Kingston. everything is a very short drive, embassy, hospital, restaurants, salons, traffic is bad so a good central location is worth it. I always stay when taking care of business in Kingston.
Some of the staff were quite friendly. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance from several shopping malls in one direction. And in the opposite direction, it is quite close to the Bob Marley Museum and Devon House.
Everything was good, just little hard to find it but then Nas makes everything more than easy, she well to help in everything she could and more, advice us of places and the park next to the house is so amazing
Hotel room has been refurbished and updated since my last stay in 2018. I love the new look. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast on point as usual. Definitely my go to hotel in Kingston.
Just another hostel/B&B,/big house made into a variety of rooms for travelers. Not real fancy, just a good safe place to stay while exploring Kingston.. There is a mall a few blocks, I saw a movie there
The hotel was in a nice, gated sports club in New Kingston. The reception was great and the hotel was a proper hotel (not just guesthouse or Airbnb). The atmosphere was nice.
