Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations.
Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations. However, it is tiny and the weather was not great which limits what there is to do. Two nights rather than three would have been enough.
Also it really is expensive. Not a place to go if you are on a budget.
My husband and son had brilliant food - particularly DaV Mere - but they love fish and seafood. Not great for vegetarians.

We enjoyed walking and getting around but Portofino is really small so don't spend more than one night there. I was expecting more people to be around but it was really empty after the sunset. People come in boats to know the harbour but they don't stay around after so it's very quiet (at least in April when I went). There aren't that many options for good food but the restaurant "Trattoria Tripoli" was a highlight of our stay in Portofino. Probably the best Frutti di mare spaghetti I have had in my life!

Portofino had been on the bucket list for some time so the expectations were high.... and so they were met ! A very very nice little village on the cost with all typical medditerrainian stuf. 1 day should be enough to cover it as a small place. Can recommend to travel here off season as no crowds and safe to move around. The Restaurants might seem a bit expencive but then they are good !

Portofino might have been a lovely place in the 60s - today it is a poor cartoon of a fisherman's village. Ridiculously overpriced (2 spritz + 0.5l water 33€) but still overcrowded. Seems there are a lot of people, that hope some of the yacht owners wealth will be shared with them if they get close...

Portofino is a hipe and we wanted to go there once, but unless COVID it was too much overcrowded.
It is a very small village around a harbour. Lovely with a lot of high fashion boutiques and restaurants along the harbor.
During July 2020 a lot of shops were closed but most restaurants were open - although only the once with the best rating on google and tripadviser were full, so we were glad to have a reservation.
the light at sunset is beautiful too - but if it does not have to be Portofino - there are other small beautiful fisher villages which are not so famous and expensive.
The breakfast was good. The little cove opposite the hotel had crystal clear water and was very good for swimming. Little terraces on the waterfront were lovely with fabulous views ( but not without some litter ).
A 10 minute footpath walk to the centre of Portofino.
The Nature around ,the beach just few minutes walking at the end of the road, the tranquillity , lovely friendly staff, very nice healthy home made breakfast
Big rooms
The view
Is a peaceful beautiful place , such a gem out of the classic portofino scenario
The room was spacious and clean. Staff were attentive (e.g. concierge, front desk, restaurants [inside the hotel and the restaurant close to the bay / outside]). Our room had an breathtaking view to the bay and the balcony with flowers was beautiful.
The photos of the property and view were accurate, and I could not take better photos. There is no way to leave Portofino with a negative opinion....simply one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
Unbelievable location in the bay of Portofino. Step outside the hotel and you're in the harbour.
Parking about 1 minute walk max, so again that is perfect.
Nice clean and well done bathroom.
Fantastic location, quiet, nicely laid out.
Portofino is stunning.
The coffee shop next door was great, served the best coffee in Portofino and only 2E compared to 5E on the harbour front.
The property is even better than the pictures. It is worth going here to escape the busy portofino with it only being a short walk away.
the hikes from this location are magical as well
Amazing property right in the center of Portofino- on the water with spectacular views! The hosts were extremely kind and easy to communicate with. Absolutely loved my stay!
Great location, right in the heart of Portofino. It's a very expensive little town so hence the price of the apartment. Hosts were super friendly and met us after hours.
Nice, clean and comfortable apartment. The host was very easy to communicate and responsive! We liked it and would stay again if we ever return to Portofino!
