Small beach town vibe. Exactly what I wanted.
Small beach town vibe. Exactly what I wanted. Seemed like more locals than tourist when we first arrived. People were super nice. Close enough drive to some attractions in more "touristy" area. Many pizzerias and restaurants. But quite few restaurants were reservations only, so if you want to go to specific restaurant to eat, you might want to call ahead and research. We end up eating at restaurants that didnt need reservations and I enjoyed it.... seafood was all I cared about! :-) If you are a meat-eater, you might find difficult to find steaks... definitely pizza and cold-cuts are there, though! Plenty of bars, gift shops, etc. With reasonable prices. If you are a wine drinker, you might want to try Elban wine. Beaches.... mainly rocky. Super clear water, but if you are looking for white sand beach, you might be disappointed. Me personally, I just love ocean no matter what, and dislike crowded beaches so it was just right. You can rent a boat and go fish, too, but we didn’t do that. That's why I feel like I should've stayed longer. Overall, if a small beach town with relaxed atmosphere and nice people, you'll like it there.

A really beautiful marina to walk around, plenty things to do. Everybody is nice, friendly, helpful. I would recommend an excellent restaurant Umami for lunch or dinner. A best place for morning coffee and pastry Mo-Yo Café.

Marciana MArina is very nice place.
Marciana MArina is very nice place. You can find nice narrow winding streets, beautiful promenade. There are sand beaches suitable for small children and stone beach that is great for snorkeling. Sometimes is little difficult to find place for parking. Very close is Marciana, a start point to go (or use cabinova) to Monte Capane.

The Pebble beach is quite crowded.
The Pebble beach is quite crowded. As is the other, sand beach. However, If you walk behind the pebble beach, along the left side there is a path out to the cliffs. Perfect for snorkeling and cliff jumping. The water is Fantastic!! Use bath shoes. There are several restaurants in MM but the best is Scaraboci. They even serve gluten free pasta 👍 Just book a table and ask for glutenfree pasta the day before. Great food. Great wine. Nice walk through town. In the middle of the village, behind the street along the harbour, ther is a very nice lite piazza with a church and restaurants. Dont miss it.

Breakfast was amazing with the lovely accommodating staff always having my gluten free basket of products ready for when I arrived for breakfast . Pleasant and efficient. Always happy to help with any request / even went asked for an Iron. Very close to beach/ sea front and easy access to many restaurants locally. Laundry facilities just a few doors down from hotel - brilliant if travelling around.

The staff at the hotel is really supportive in booking restautants, trips, making inquiries, etc. Especially, in the busy summer period, this gave piece of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy the beautiful island of Elba. Great breakfast Location in Marciana Marina is great. Wonderful and lively village with a nice boulevard and main square. Many nice restaurants nearby

The host Luciano upgraded us to a nicer room and even helped us get cheaper ferry tickets to Elba. Hint: Linens and towels are not included in the price (EUR 16.00 per person).
