Good for cycling and hiking.
Good for cycling and hiking. Not a lot of restaurants ,bars or coffee shops. Missed the flair of italian little villages and towns. No coffee shops or bar at the lake. Not much to do apart from taking day trips to Brescia or Bergamo. Prefer Lake Garda, its more lively and has more to offer to tourist. if you prefer peace and quiet Lake Iseo is a good choice.

The location is beautiful, overlooking the Iseo lake and the island of Monte isola. Large swimming-pool, good breakfast, good size of room and very pleasant owners. The hotel is clean and well-run. The restaurant is closed, but Orazio nearby provides good food at reasonable prices. On the negative side, the furniture and decoration are rather old-fashioned, but it did not bother me.XavierMonaco

Equipped kitchen for self cooking, enough charging points, ok WiFi, laundry machine, free 4h max parking next door and €5 a day unlimited parking at the church (blue parking spaces) a 5 minute walk away. Easily reachable host and easy self check-in. 1 restaurant a 5m walk away, true supermarket and other restaurants about 15-20 minutes by car away in Iseo, incl EV charging. Minimarket and bar also at a 5m walk in Sale Marasino itself.

As the hotels in Milano were fully booked, I have booked a room at Vela di Soleville. a familly owned hotel, with very stylish equipment and extremely big bathrooms (with built in shower room and massage bath tub)….the best part of my stay was enjoying on the terrace with an astonishing view on Lago di Iseo and…as Foodie - their home restaurant with glass walls with the lake view was one of the best Finds in this year. Fantastic food and wine and in overall…perfect stay!!!

Anna & Mauro, the brother & sister team, who run the hotel are lovely kind people! The hotel is right on the Strada Antica Valeriana - a wonderful trail running mid-level above Lago d'Iseo on the west side. Higher level hikes are immediately accessible. Villa Kinzica is a charming, country house-like hotel right by Lago d’Iseo, perfectly located for short walks and long hikes in the mountains. Our spaceous well-equipped room was the perfect hideaway for a few amazing days. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good and the hotel just has a lovely, cozy vibe. Breakfast was very tasteful and well more than enough choice. We thought it was a pitty that we could not have breakfast outside. We did not have dinner in the hotel but had a glass of wine after we came back from the restaurant we had chosen for the evening. The location restaurant als has a nice view, the housewine was not our favourite.

There was also "torta della nonna" which we can only recommend. The swimming pool was clean and free to use with showers. Nice view. Personnel was friendly.
