Rome has changed over the years

Rome has changed over the years The historical features remain but it is so dirty a D so busy. We didn’t see any crime but you need to be very aware of your surroundings and watch your personal belongings carefully Got sick of the restaurants trying to pull Us in every night . So many people posing for photos to put on their phone or tic toc accounts it was sickening Many are not even attractive and they have no interest in the history of the place they just want to pose to send to the rest of the world they have been to Rome Very sad and got sick Of seeing it everywhere. Nice places to eat round the corner from the station and the mercado inside station every drink or food Option available to suit everyone

It was a whole different beautiful world. In 2 words- organized chaos- I loved every minute of my time in Rome! People were friendly, waitstaff were so welcoming no matter where we sat down to eat, airbnb host helped get us into apartment and to check out with taxi pickup. I want to take my girls back with me. Next time I would like to check out other markets besides just Campo di Fiori

You must always book in advance your visit to the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum - Palatine Hill - Forum Romanum because the queues are enormous and so you'll have to wait for more than two or three hours to get your tickets just outside, especially from April and beyond. We ate fine Italian food (pizza and pasta) in Pizzeria Rionale Agape (Via dei Coronari 30) near Piazza Navona and in Pizza in Trevi (Via di S. Vincenzo 30/30A) nearby the Fontana di Trevi. Finally, an excellent wine bar lies in Via Properzio 31/33 "Il Sorpasso", where local Romans meet for coffee, wine, drinks, appetizers and small dishes

I have never seen a place so crowded!

I have never seen a place so crowded! (April) Surprisingly, it functions quite well. Metro is unpleasantly full, still the fastest. Buses have better coverage, less crowded but slower Staying in city center helps a lot as you can cover good area by foot. Restaurants are not too crowded. Food below expectations. We enjoyed most the restaurants in Borgo Pio near Vaticane for variety of choices. Watch for Leonardo Express. Italians may have pecular sense of humour- we boarded the train with electronic tickets (30€ for two) but got charged a 128€ penalty because the ticket booked 3 weeks earlier showed exact time of boarding being 15 minutes earlier!!! All this in the city were it is ok to drive through read light. Be careful! All in all it is a memorable experience predominantly thanks to the ancient Romans and Michelangelo.

Rome has a lot to offer, if you love your food you won’t be disappointed. There is so much history to explore and would recommend a guided tour if you can. Getting around is ok and most places are walkable too. It can be very busy in some areas and would recommend using skip the line tickets where you can to save time. Be mindful of asking how much things will cost as it can feel overpriced in some areas. It was my second visit to the city and I was pleased to be able to explore new areas and return to some familiar spots.

The location of this hotel is great, walking distance to Colosseum, Trevi fountain etc. Also close to some good restaurants (Melo, Pizzeria alle Carrette). Dined and had breakfast in the hotel restaurant - excellent staff - good food and value for money. Our room had a lovely view over Rome and was quite spacious. Bed was really comfortable. Staff were very helpful and had really good local knowledge. Had tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge which you don't always get in Italy.

The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth. We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too! The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable! We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini, very convenient if you come to Rome with a train or a plane. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is relatively rich for Rome, as you will get some ham and salami, boiled eggs. The rooms are small, but not to the point of being inconvenient. Air conditioning is working, and it does not smell with fungi as most of the units in Italy. There is an elevator, so you do not have to carry your baggage up.

We are definitely staying at this hotel for our next trip to Rome. Checkin was remote but very easy. The staff is so wonderful, friendly and speaks English fluently (after two weeks in Italy this was so welcoming!!). The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The area is nice, safe and in close proximity of the historical landmarks. Because it’s a business area (lots of bureaucrats) there are many good places for breakfast and lunch nearby.

This was the best hotel in Italy we have visited out of 7. Very clean, comfortable and with good vibe. Great outdoor swimming pool - we loved it after hot day. But the best was customer service.
