Our stay at Masseria Acquasalsa was a real highlight of our 3 week trip to Abruzzo and Molise. The stone farm building is beautiful and charming. We were were greeted by Lulu, the truffle-hunting dog, and Rosetto, one of several farm cats. Armando, the host gave us a tour and an an in-depth explanation of his amazing bee-keeping operation. We had several lovely conversations with his parents, Luisa and Tonino. They grow nuts and fruits. One morning, Luisa served us a magnificent breakfast of homemade panetttone covered in custard and homemade strawberry jam. It's an easy drive up to the historic hill town, Agnone. The surrounding countryside is endlessly green and lush. We enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend this lovely farm stay.
