Beautiful city with plenty to see for a few days and much longer could have been spent just wandering the historic, cobbled streets and enjoying the plentiful restaurants, cafes and bars. It was off season so quiet - not crowded like Verona. We visited the theatre, of which there are several, and most of the sights, but 2 days wasn't enough time to cover everything. No car needed - walked everywhere. Train station was very central.

Amazing town, small, but with a lot to see and enjoy.
Amazing town, small, but with a lot to see and enjoy. A mixture of Emilia and Lombardy culture, especially about food, but with its own local exclusivity. I wonder why I've never visited earlier in my life!

Mantova is perfect for a day trip.
Mantova is perfect for a day trip. The center is the size of a postage stamp. The Palazzo Ducale and the Palazzo Te are not to be missed. Both really special for art, architecture and history lovers. Beyond my expectations.

Mantova was an unexpected gem, we had not heard much about it but took the chance on adding it to our trip and we were not disappointed.
There are so many beautiful buildings, and the Ducal Palace and Palazzo Te are some of the most impressive interiors we've seen in Italy. The Ducale Palace covers an enormous range of styles ranging over hundreds of years. Be prepared for a lot of walking inside the palace
There was a huge range of restaurants and bars to choose from and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Mantova is a charming small town full of history and things to see. Initially all the narrow streets are confusing but it doesn't take long to find your way around. The 3 lakes add to the beauty of the place, every morning a walk around part of the lakes made a perfect start to the day. We were very sad to leave and will definitely return and we will stay at Casa al Teatro again for sure.

We rate it very badly.
We rate it very badly. Our car broke down and we announced that we would be late. But the host wrote that registration is until 11 p.m. and our reservation is canceled. I do not recommend it to anyone
The check-in was very quick and easy, the hostess was very welcoming and even kindly gave me an iron for the whole stay.
The location was good - 10 mins walking from the train station and 15 minutes on foot to the beautiful downtown. The room was super clean, cosy, and quiet (facing an inner yard). A big bathroom with a window.
I came to Mantova for a concert and the property was just perfect for having proper rest and good sleep after an active festival night :) I really enjoyed my stay! Grazie mille!
The apartment is very well renovated and modernly furnished. It is very centrally located, and the sights are only a few minutes away on foot. From the apartment you have a great view over Mantova and directly onto the large cathedral.
Access to the apartment is easy and simple via mobile phone.
Communication is easy and the owner Litizia has always responded promptly.
We left our daughter's cuddly toy in the apartment and Litizia sent it to Germany.
Our host was very kind, accomodating, and helpful. The room was not far from the train station, and also very close to the historical center of the city. While the room was a little bit smaller than we had expected, it was very neat, tidy, and well equipped, with a good breakfast and a free minibar. I would strongly recommend staying at B&b art boutique if you decide to visit Mantova for a short stay.
Central location, near to cafes, restaurants, shopping and historical places. Very clean property. Looks like newly decorated. We liked the loft and there is an additional double bed downstairs. It was very quite during our stay thanks to Mantova’s quite neighbors. Quick response from the host for all needs. Coffee and tea bags available during stay.
Hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful. During check in I realized I had left a small travel bag in the taxi. The receptionist got me in touch with the taxi company who contacted drivers and my bag was returned to me within 30 minutes. Such extraordinary assistance is to be applauded. Thank you! Restaurant has great cappuccino as well!
The location is perfect for exploring Mantova. Everywhere is within walking distance. The apartment is charming with traditional furnishings. Our host, Maria, made us very welcome and there were some nice extra little treats. Maria also gave us some local information about places to visit and things to do.
I selected it as photos were nice, but then I was not expecting much as is rated as 1 star hotel. Instead good surprise!
Nice room, very clean, all comfortable. I have to say better than many 3 stars hotel that I have been before!
so for sure I will use it again if traveling in Mantova
I was invited to a wedding near this hotel, so its location, although a bit peripheral, was perfect for me. A very clean and modern place, most tasteful food in the restaurant, kind and helpful staff at reception. I enjoyed every minute of my three night stay.
The room was well appointed and spacious. Bathroom was modern and the shower was very good. The location was super and in the heart of Mantova, close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful and delivered to our room each morning by 8.30am
The rooms were exceptionally large, comfortable and beautifully setup. The hotel was very modern, yet still had the feel of old Italy. The location was outstanding and close to many important sites. The hotel staff was very friendly and exceedingly helpful.
Super well located in the old city centre of Mantova. Extremely well cleaned and best of beds! Then add super-nice and helpful staff so, we can highly recommend it to families and/or couples. Choose this Hotel!
This apartment is very well located near the centre of lovely Mantova, quiet and nicely decorated. Lorenzo was very helpful with restaurant recommendations etc.
great location, friendly staff, large room and bathroom. Our suitcase got stuck in transit and the hotel staff worked with the airline co to get it back to us.
Location is super centre. Mantova is very small and this place is right near two main piazza. Nice for a rest during day. Wifi is fast. Check-in was easy.
