Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

We often choose to stay in Fiumicino as a staging area either upon arrival or departure from Roma (FCO airport). It has a sort of edgy border town vibe to it that makes it feel more authentic. It has a nice promenade along the mouth of the river with many cafes, bars, & restaurants; you can fall into a bad tourist place or find a nice authentic trattoria, and also some very posh establishments; most featuring local fish.
It is close to the airport so it's convenient and the prices for a room are lower than going into Rome proper.

Not an airport hotel..
Not an airport hotel..
Arrived by taxi late as shuttle had finished for the night.
I thought the price of my room was great value
Until…
I added my taxi ride from the airport €30 then the following day shuttle back to the airport €10
I should have stayed at the 4star option beside the airport as it would have been less expensive

It reminds me of the beautiful city of Trieste on north-east Italian coast. Walking to the sea while seeing la bella porta. There were many restaurants in Fiumicino. Many of them sea-based. You will find good priced napoletana pizaa and some more interesting italian restuarants.
I will come to visit this beautiful city again. instead of just bella roma

This hotel is wonderfully quiet high efficiency windows no airport noise. The airport is well signed and the hotels around it are in a quiet country setting. Customs and immigration only took 1 minute. It is clean attractive and quick to negotiate with real people to help you.

Really comfortable and cozy place to have a rest, from short stays to a long journey, with excellent facilities and a friendly hotel. All amenities and facilities are like a 4-star Hotel.
Is a plus the easy access to the train station, just to leave the hotel and a couple of steps to bump into the train station to commit to a different place to Rome Termini or station Airpot Fuimicino T1,2 or 3.

We stayed in Fiumicino for one night after our cruise and flew out the following day. The B&B we stayed in was super nice, but there was not a lot of commerce in the area since it was a residential neighborhood.
Good location, very close to the Fiumicino center, which has a lot of nice restaurants. Free parking next to the house in the street. Man in the reception was very friendly, he didn't speak english, but we understood each other. Free coffee, tea, cookies in the kitchen. Very close to the airport, this hotel is very populiar for one night stay to wait for a flight. Outside was very hot, up to 30 degrees, but there was an air condition in the room which was very useful.
Very well run family hotel . Fantastic rooms . Very clean . The staff is very helpful . Great location close to the Fiumicino airport , but also very convenient to get to Rome with the express train from Fiumicino to Rome : 25 minutes . The hotel also offer a shuttle to the airport . Ask for a suite on a third floor : very large terrasse with seating area and jacuzzi at an additional cost but private and personal . Nice breakfast included in the price .
Having a flight out early in the morning, I wanted to be close to the airport; and yet, rather than stay in a generic chain hotel, I much preferred this little spot in the town of Fiumicino, just to have one more taste of Italy before flying back to the States. Giovanna makes you feel comfortable, and the room has everything you need, including a comfortable bed. Also, there are quite a few dining options on the waterfront.
We found this hotel at the last minute, as we needed an airport to get to Fiumicino airport on an early morning flight. Hotel was really nice with all kinds of interesting furniture and paintings! We ate there and the food was delicious. The owner was there and they were just wonderful. We took a shuttle in the morning to the airport. The hotel arranged it, and the shuttle was perfectly on time. I would stay there again.
The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We stayed in the hotel because we needed to catch a flight in Fiumicino Airport the next day. The room was very clean. Something that doesn't happen enough at hotels is putting enough towels for the amount of guests present. This was not the case, I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent location near the airport and the facilities are great.
Clean, cozy and friendly. Luca is such a great host. It’s like staying with family. Luca is very welcoming and helpful, he offers shuttle service to and from airport and gives great advice on where to eat in Fiumicino. We will definitely return if flying to Fiumicino again. They also offer a wonderful breakfast! If you don’t like staying in big hotels, this is your place!
We chose this property as we had a late night flight into Rome’s Fiumicino airport and an early morning flight out. The hotel is located inside the airport. It was convenient, clean and comfortable. Even though the restaurant had closed when we arrived, the hotel accommodated us with room service for pasta and wine.
convenient to airport. hotel shuttle picked us up at airport for 6 euro. you do have to wait a bit. the shuttle is used for several hotels. happy hour in bar had a variety of hors d’oeuvres that helped because we had not eaten since breakfast. room very spacious and so was bath room. staff very friendly and helpful.
Very good place to stay for a short night before going to Fiumicino airport. Airport shuttle available. Staff arranged everything smoothly. If you want to have a bite to eat in the evening before going to sleep, there are several options inside or outside the shopping mall next to the hotel.
We had a lay day in Rome and didn’t want to venture into Rome city. This hotel was perfect to stay a night and relaxing day in front of the pool before our big flight the next evening. Its a ten minute drive from Fiumicino airport and a great place to relax.
A really good place to stay if you have a day or so to spare before leaving from the airport. Fiumicino is interesting enough in high season. Hotel Tiber has excellent facilities and good views of the river and out to sea! Clean, safe and well-maintained.
The property is very clean and quiet. I recommend it for an early flight from Roma Fiumicino airport. It’s easy enough to reach the property from Termini (there is a bus) and also with a taxi it is possible to reach the airport in less than 10mins.
Luca is an amazing & knowledgeable host! We were given a little info of Fiumicino when picked up at the airport, complete with restaurant suggestions and things to visit. The hotel is small & extremely clean. We highly recommend it!
The hotel is very conveniently located in proximity of Rome Fiumicino Airport terminals and train station. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was functional. Breakfast was fantastic.
A perfect overnight stay away from the hustle of Rome airport. Just a few miles away, at the port of Fiumicino, the hotel offers shuttle service to airport and a great restaurant on site.
Very nice location in Fiumicino, near the seaside, a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel has a shuttle from/to the airport. Good breakfast. Big room and nice balcony.
