Amazing place, the lengthiness to get there keeps it safe from tourists masses and the city has kept a very authentic and sincere atmosphere.
I love nature and having little lizards, geckos and bigs visit the terrace (or even the room), I love walking around and being able to eat figs, prickly pears and berries from wild trees.
I like walking in the sun and laying in the beach. Swimming is amazing. The bay is calm with almost no waves. The occasional jellyfish may add some excitement to the visit.
If you don't like all this, please avoid the island. Go to an all inclusive and stay in a bar. Everyone will be happier this way.

This is a lovely unspoilt place : very few non Italians at this time of year ( June ). Suitable for families; not a place for clubs and disco. Fascinating history. Make sure you time your visits well as the Roman ruins are only accessible by guided tours, twice a week, in the evenings. Boat trips with swimming highly recommended. A place to relax and chill out. You can walk the length of the island in an hour. 3km x 1 km at the widest point. For really top cuisine, il giardino restaurant. Lots of other fine restaurants and cafes, especially down by the old Roman harbour.
The breakfast is certainly the highlight of this place. It is not fancy, it's self service but the food is good and you can take your tray to the terrace and enjoy the wonderful view on the sea. The rest of the facilities at the hotel are very basic. If it is a quite a clean room your after this is a great place if you are looking for extra confort you should probably look elsewhere.
Breakfast is very good and the view is breathtaking. The staff is kind and helpful, they can pick you up at the port and bring you back when you depart. The hotel is quite and clean. AC works well.
Lovely island. Really excellent food at this hotel, especially at dinner. Good staff. Great shuttle service. Bring your mosquito spray however -the whole island is crawling with them.
