We visit our Italian friends in Lido Silvana every year.
We visit our Italian friends in Lido Silvana every year. It’s is the best beach we think. Especially for water sports. Pulsano is a nice town with a couple of monuments/museums and some great ice cream parlours. Worth a day visit but we prefer to stay near the beach. For more natural beaches (i.e no bars/shops/umbrella sets) head down the coast to Campomarino. You very much need a hire car to visit Puglia! Our top tips for near Pulsano - Bar Jamaica (right on the sea and massive bowls of mussels) and Pergola Rosa (pizzeria near Lido Silvana/Lizzano) and Grand Bazar, Lido Silvana a supermarket shop and general store, with deli counter and bakery open all day (hard to find as the supermarkets and shops close 1-5pm). Taranto old town is worth a visit, as are Grottaglie (pottery town) and Martina Franca. And a bit further Ostuni and Alberobello are stunning.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. Swimming in the sea of Pulsano was AMAZING! One of the best sea location I have ever been. There are plenty of places where one can eat; some self service restaurants with cheap delicious food and some slightly more upscale places that serve mainly fish. Ice cream parlours are everywhere. In general food and wine were excellent. All restaurant and cafe staff were very friendly, smiley, patient and helpful. Bank cards are accepted everywhere. Banks and post office are in Pulsano Paese. The roads to Pulsano and the streets in the village are not in the best shape.

Pulsano is Pulsano it hasn’t changed in nearly 40 years I’ve been coming but l cope ok because of family and we feel comfortable especially with the beach and the food and the prices are quite generous especially for tourists.

A good destination to get a feel for Italy.
A good destination to get a feel for Italy. A popular resort for Italians especially in June. The beaches are good on the west coast of the heel, rocky on the east. Beware of the expensive Lidos resorts unless you want to be with the youngsters. Lots of places to visit, and really good cultural experience, but do some reseach before you go. Driving is a bit of a nightmare in the beginning but by the end of the week you will be a native and drive like the Italians, assertive and intentional. A really nice place for a relaxing or full of action holiday

Everything looks new and very clean. The garden is amazing for a summer night. The location is admirable, right in the historic center of Pulsano, plenty of shops, restaurants, museums and the beautiful castle at walking distance. From the moment you make a booking till after your trip, Davide is a perfect welcoming host who will answer all your questions and help make your vacation great. A lovely little garden, a nice swimming pool, a great variety at breakfast, the cleanest rooms but especially the kindness of Davide and Patrizia made it a splendid week for us and we will for sure come back next year!
