We had a great time at Marostica.
We had a great time at Marostica. The city organized lots of events for Christmas and New Year's Eve, including fireworks, lights, it was amazing. It's close to other cities like Bassano del Grappa, Cittadella and Vicenza. The center has many restaurants and bars with typical food, it was a great experience.MarcosDeAlmeidaAustria - 10Scored 10

The partita dei scacchi was so entertaining. I would go again. Day trips to Verona and Vicenza were perfect. We had a wonderful dinner at L’una e L’altra. The weekly market was on Tuesday and just a great slice of Italian life. We bought fixings for a fantastic picnic and a home made salami that was to die for.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
Great little city.
Great little city. Lovely people and amazing food and drinks. Not really many things to do unless you go around and travel to Podova or Verona. Great place to rest and chill in a lovely background/environment. I visited Marostica so many times that became my special place when I want to get out of crazy busy London.

Marostica old centre is beautiful.
Marostica old centre is beautiful. A lot of history all around. Much less touristy than other locations. Exceptional restaurant Trattoria Di Battista in the Frazione of Molvena just up the road from l’oro rosso where we were staying.

there was a dress rehearsal for the famous chess display which will be next year that was spectacular and a farmers market was on sunday morning good bus service to nearby Bassano and Vicenza and within easy public transport to Venice

Marostica area is excellent for vacation! Nice towns around, mountains, great small restaurants and coffee places, nice small windy roads, ruins of old castles, lovely people.... Would love and would plane to return to Marostica for longer stay!

We also liked that it had a very nice restaurant, located a very short walk away. Our hosts made arrangements for us to be able to get a good lunch there when we arrived at an unusual time in the mid-afternoon. I be also liked the flexible set up do that it was very easy to return to L’Oro Rosso at late hours without disturbing anyone.
