Nice city, a lot of restaurants and shops, train station, buses, hospital, parks - anything one might need.
95% of beaches are private. You have to pay 35-70€ per 2 bed and umbrella per day. Sand beach, ideal for kids, as the sea is flat first 15m.
Parking is a challenge! So it is better to book a hotel with the parking.

Nice beaches, however be sure to investigate available spots on your favourite beach before arrival. We went to the public beach in the neighbour town which was really nice. The public beaches of Alassio are not as nice and very crowded. Nice atmosphere and many testaurants by the sea.

I would return again. Very friendly and beautiful.
I would return again. Very friendly and beautiful. The new ripple are kind n helpful. The beaches were all over the town and eateries on the water front as well as in the town. Transport around Alassio was free and convenient. I would check if the hotel was on a hill or in the flat ground when I return and I will.

Loved every minute and wished I had stayed longer.
Loved every minute and wished I had stayed longer. A lovely town with lots of charm, shops, parks, playgrounds etc. we got the train/bus to nearby towns and explored the area. There were several supermarkets nearby and a local market on Saturday. Restaurants were along the Lungomare and up as far as the pier. The neighbourhood was family oriented and safe. The Lido pizzeria and restaurant was very good value and lovely food.

Beautiful seaside town. Beautiful beaches and shops.
Beautiful seaside town. Beautiful beaches and shops. Wonderful beachfront hotels. High end but still wonderful for families. You can walk far out in the water and still stand. Water not too cold. More of an affluent beach town.
Very nice beach walk that runs a very long distance. Pretty town. Was once vacation destination of the affluent English who built villas here.
I love Alassio. This is where my parents (from Piemonte) vacationed when they were younger.

Very nice resort.
Very nice resort. Not too crowded though - just golden middle. Shops and bars working till late. There are lots of beaches, but if your facility cannot grant you a bench, better look for placed closer to Zero beach, since this is the only public beach. And question is not about money - there are simply no available benches. You simply cannot get one even if there are plenty of empty benches. One of the guys explained, that they are booked for whole months and nobody can use them even if they stay empty.
The hotel needs a good facelift, It is showing its age; tatty all around but they compensate with a welcome drink accompanied with snacks and served by two young proffessionals that really go the extra mile. Bathroom complete with bidet. Bathrobes and slippers in the room. Nice gym. Good central location just 30 metres to the beach. We were given 10 per cent discount vouchers for nearby restaurants. We tried one and It was a really good fish restaurant. Breakfast was ok.
Our family really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Great location, very clean and the breakfast comparing with standard breakfast choice in Italy is rich in variety. Even our son who is hard to please, found what to eat and loved the pancakes. The garden is very cosy and there is a possibility to park a car which is especially useful knowing the situation in Alassio. We highly recommend staying in this hotel.
A superior breakfast buffet, served Covid-style by the wait staff in the fabulous 6th floor dining room - what a view!!
The bedding was superb - I asked the front desk about the pillows so I could order one for myself! Nice to have a balcony with table and chairs too.
The location couldn't be better, and the town is filled with wonderful restaurants and shops - much more than just a beach town!
The breakfast was amazing and nicely varied. You could have as much as you like. The breakfast area was super dreamy and full of fresh morning light. The room was comfy with robes and a BATHTUB. Balcony. Amazing front desk staff. Close to all the Alassio hot spots and the train station. This is the hotel. Would 100% come back.
On a quiet street, about 5 minute walk to the beaches, a 10 minute walk to the free beach. Flavia was very attentive, and gave me rides to and from the train station. The apartment had many nice touches, like scents and decorative designs. A very comfortable apartment, with a lovely patio.
This used to be one of the best hotels on the strip. Changed owners. Not being kept up to the same standards. Hotel has nice, large private beach and nice, big outdoor spaces.
Restaurant is decent.
Staff are not very warm but they are polite.
convenient to the beach and restaurants. the owner was amazing in that he helped me get a ticket to on the boat to Sardinia. No simple task even for him who is Italian. plenty of hot water and very safe
Hotel Bristol is perfectly located in Alassio. The dinners were very good...each night you have a choice of antipasti, primi, and secondi, with plenty of options from the sea. The people are very nice.
