Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.
Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.
At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.
Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.
Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

Perfect town for a short break or for a beach holiday, the town is in between a harbor and the beach. The city centre is vibrant, lots of restaurants and bars. The surrounding areas worth a visit if you are interested in arts, nature or simply laze on the beach.
People are friendly, the food spectacular!

Trapani is lovely town nicely laid out with good public transport - although beware as the busses stop running by about 21:30 in the evening and none on a Sunday. A good selection of shops for those wanting to indulge.
The old town is stunning and a must to visit both during the day and particularly in the evening when it totally comes alive with an abundance of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do.
Surprisingly quaint with lots to do. Great sandy beaches, lots of shops and amazing restaurants and bars in the old town. Also provides easy access to lots of other places to explore like Erice via cable car, Egadi Islands by ferry and Marsala, Castellemare del Golfo by train and Palermo by bus. It wasn't overly touristy either and got a really nice, more authentic experience here compared to some of the other cities in Sicily. Highly recommend! 3-4 days would be perfect

It was our second trip to Sicily in October. This is great time to visit the island. Trapani is really beatiful, great Old Town, fine cuisine (busiata alla Trapanese !!!). Great trips: San Vito Lo Capo, Erice (!!!), Egadi Islands, salinas...
However, too much garbage on the side streets...

Trapani was pleasant with friendly people, we felt very safe, and the food was delicious. There was a lot of activity at night with great shops. I would recommend La Perla Restaurante, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the price was extremely reasonable. Sit in the covered portion with a sea view
Perfect location for exploring Trapani. Our room was beautiful, with comfortable large bed, good shower and Ornella as hostess was amazing. Ornella gave recommendations of where to eat - best food we have had since arrival in Sicily. Breakfast is recommended - Bacon, eggs, Sicilian bread and lots of choice of sweet pastries. If we ever return to Trapani, we will not hesitate to return here to stay.
Perfect location for old town visit, it is located almost at the heart of old town, also beach nearby
Very friendly host with very good English (which was super rare in Sicily)
cute half-balcony with good old town view
very close port located
good size room
breakfast choice was alright, but hot food not so delicious
Good price for the location and room performance
Although it's a little far to go to the center, the location allows you to see the sea and Erice right in front of your eyes. The kind couple Benni and Anna took us to the salt fields. Anna did a lot of research for our trip. The room is warm and relaxing. There was a mini supermarket, and the chocolate flavor at the gelato shop nearby was the best I've had in Sicily!
The property was so beautiful and well taken care of. Sandra went above and beyond to accommodate and check in about our stay. She gave us a map and let us know all the places to visit and even went and got us towels when we needed them for the beach. She is amazing and so is Francesco! I love the morning breakfast. also they have the best shower!
very nice and kind staff :D response quickly every time
easily to get necessities, such as mineral water and shampoo. The most important thing is the fantastic sea view! more than the pictures. Also, there’s a bar beside the apartments, you can feel the summer vibe with the DJ at that bar when the sun goes down. The best experience in Sicily.
Excellent location, really near everything! Also great position if you need to use the bus/port/train. Host Nicola was really friendly and helpful. Good communication with him and easy to arrange all. He took us back to the airport and all went super nice. If we come back to Trapani, we will definitely come back to the apartment.
Perfect location if travelling late flight to Trapani airport, only 8 minutes' drive! Safe and convenient parking inside the premises. Good breakfast served in our room and very good Wi-Fi. Certainly, will go back if visiting the area. Friendly and understanding owner. Very clean allover.
The hotel is in a great location in trapani, it’s 50 meters away from the Main Street with all the restaurants bars gelato. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooftop bar was very Igor in the evening and a great view for an early breakfast. I really enjoyed this stay.
Very friendly staff, they complied with everything. The interior design of the hotel is perfectly harmonized. High-quality breakfast, coffee as you would expect in Italy! Very good location, in 5-7 minutes you are in the historic Centro, in another 5 on the beach.
This was our favourite place during our Sicily trip. We extended our stay and still wished we could have stayed longer. We loved the gardens, villa, pool and our host! There's so much to see and do in or near Trapani, we can't wait to come back.
All was magnificent I went to this hotel with my father.
We did a bike trip of all Sicily and we had amazing support from staff.
All the amenities were in perfect shape and all good for a visit to this city.
100% recommended
Host is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is great, very close to the centre, beach and a big variety of restaurants. The apartment is nice, rooms are spacious. Nothing to complain about.
Nice host close to the harbour and 10 minutes to nearby restaurants and shopping or beach. Although small the space had everything you might need. Very good value for money for a stay in Sicily.
Simon is fantastic person very helpul for us. The room Was very very clean. This was the best accomodetiin in the Sicily. . We could leave our laguages and had a shower before our fligts.
the hotel is located in the old historical part of Trapani with a nice view to the park with palm trees. short walk into the town center and short walk to the beach / water front.
The host was amazing, the hotel was beautiful and the rooms were great. The breakfast was the best we had in Sicily including the more expensive hotels where we stayed.
Beautiful hotel in prime location in Trapani, right next to the beach, in the centre of Trapani, beautiful clean rooms. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
