Mysore is a gem of a city in India.
Mysore is a gem of a city in India. The weather is usually much less extreme than other places in India. The people are friendly and there's lots to do. The palace is beautiful (especially on Sunday night when they light 10K lights for an hour), the catholic cathedral is very nice. The sacred Chamundi Hill is a must! Nandi Bull is on the other side of the hill and carved from a huge boulder. There is also lots of walking places and the Deveraja Market must not be missed for spices, flowers and lots of inexpensive interesting items including incense and jaggery. There is also lots of tailors, jewelry shopping and Mysore silk shops. The Southern Star is a great hotel there.tombudaUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

This listing is obviously in India. I can't understand why it's listed with Booking, com as Jugglers Rest in Picton. It's most confusing! When you ring the contact number it's in India and the person that answers is very hard to understand and barely speaks English. Personally I don't think Booking.com should have the property listed at all

I arrived at mysore by train from Bangalore and didn’t get to my hotel til around 13:30. Hotellier kindly provided a map and marked on it local places of interest, thinking this would be too late to visit the palace I went to the aquarium. The best thing about it was the entrance - makes for great photos. Walking (with the aid of good old google) I came across the palace and couldn’t resist going in. Just 100inr - same price for everyone. I didn’t have to queue for more than a few minutes for a ticket at that time of day but there were still orderly queues getting around inside. I had plenty of time before closing at 17:30 so I achieved my purpose for visiting mysore earlier than expected. Shoes are not allowed inside the palace so I’d recommend socks as 10s of thousands of people visit every week. The sheer opulence of the palace is something I’ve not seen anywhere else. I didn’t stay for the daily palace light show as I was tired out but I understand it’s quite something. It’s not somewhere you’d find fine dining but the hotel I stayed at had a restaurant very nearby.

GOOD PLACE TO VISIT. WE LIKED THESE PLACES SUCH AS CHAMUNDI TEMPLE, MYSORE PALACE, ZOO, VRUNDAVAN GARDEN, MIRROR MAZE AND DEVARAJA MARKET. THE WORST PLACE IS WE HAVE VISITED DOMAINE SULA WHICH WAS ON THE WAY FROM BANGALORE TO MYSORE.

It is just beside the road adjacent to Jaganmohan Palace right side boundary wall. One can view the palace from room. There are restaurant (Aashirvad & Maitri) just 100 mtrs away (walkable) from the property. The property is at a prime location where you can visit the nearby center market or Mysore palace by walk itself and all are within 3kms. Auto charges around Rs. 30 to palace and Rs. 40 to Cauvery Emporioum (govt store) for authentic products.

We wouldn't normally stay in a Radisson Blu on holiday, but it looked like it was the best hotel in Mysore and actually it was fine, although of course it had quite a "chain" feel to it. The location was good and the hotel was clean & comfortable. Abdul (the concierge guy) was super helpful and very efficient - thank you!
