This space is unique in a huge metropolis like Kolkata. Located in South Kolkata's posh residential neighborhood, it is an oasis of quietness surrounded by greenery. A huge balcony allows us to relax while sipping your favorite beverage. Kitchen: For your convenience, a kitchen space is available along with an induction oven. This is NOT a full-fledged kitchen with gas and full amenities. We have some basic utensils to help you out. There is also a microwave available to heat up quick eats and water for tea. A fridge and TV are also available. Home cooked food: If you need home food delivered, then you can please let the host know. Our rates are very affordable. e are residents of Kolkata for more than 30 years, so please call if you need general advice. RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY: a. Budget: 1) Super Snack Bar (famous for South Indian food) is walking distance (in front of the petrol pump); 2) Zyka (Multi- Cuisine) a few blocks down the road., 3) Hindustan Sweets: Bengali/traditional sweets is on the major road behind the house.

Neighborhood overview New Alipore is a posh residential area in south kolkata. Famous street snacks and sweets are around the corner. Close to Birla research hospital and various other points of interest including the Kalighat temple. New Alipore is situated just south of Alipore bordered by the Budge Budge section of the Kolkata Suburban Railway between Majherhat and Tollygunge stations. It is one of the better planned areas of the city and is home to a wide variety of people from all walks of life. The roads in this neighborhood have paved sidewalks, often lined with trees. The area has a planned underground drainage system and street lighting. There are couple of parks and gardens. It's one of the posh and costliest localities of entire Eastern India. Places of interest: New Alipore Suruchi Sangha which won Best Puja in 2003, 2009 & 2011 and Creative Excellence in 2007 at the Asian Paints Sharad Shamman. Famous people: Amartya Sen. Getting around. The New Alipore petrol pump and police station are just around the corner ( 5 min walk) including the train/bus station.
