Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!

Staff were really friendly and helpful. I arrived quite late and the pub was busy. But the two girls working made a huge effort to get me checked in. They were great.

The grounds were beautiful and scenic, Helen, the host, was gracious and friendly and the room was comfortable and well-appointed. My only regret was that I was not staying longer. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Ireland! Can’t say enough about how wonderful it was.

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

We didn't see much as we were there for christening.
We didn't see much as we were there for christening. However beautiful setting . Everything seemed so far away from each other . There is a little town which seemed nice. It is at least an hour and half drive from Dublin. We needed a taxi to get from hotel to Dublin to fly home which cost €280.00 so you need to be aware of that if your not driving yourself. Every person we met or spoke to were so friendly .

We were really surprised at how much there is to do in Cavan.
Lakes and trails a plenty and it’s very easy to head out to neighbouring counties too!
We found the restaurants we eat in to be of a really high standard.
The hotel was warm, clean (spotless) and cozy. The staff were friendly, kind and welcoming .The reception staff gave a very warm welcome on arrival and also provided courtesy calls before we arrived to confirm our booking and to check if we would like to eat in the hotel on our arrival date, which was very helpful. We ate in the bar and the food was delicious as was our breakfast every morning. The Hotel was central to Cavan and to exploring the surrounding areas.
Perfect location, a short walk across the golf course or along the road to the Farnham estate (where we were attending a wedding/playing golf).
The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the kitchen downstairs has all you need for a snack or breakfast.
Bridie is absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have made you feel more at home. Very kind and even dropped us at the estate when dressed up in wedding attire!
The Lacken Millhouse is a beautiful (almost ) 200 year old building surrounded in the picturesque Cavan countryside, a short drive from the town center. The grounds a perfectly kept and the facilities are great. Helen was a lovely host. She organised taxi numbers, gave us suggestions of where to go and visit. Finally the breakfast was great... We will definitely be back!
Host was incredibly friendly and helpful. House was cosy and had everything we needed.
The location was not too far from Butlers Bridge and had Cavan town a little drive further. The adventure centre across the road was very handy and I can recommend the boating trip there for beautiful views and the castle on an island was great to stop off for a picnic.
The room was lovely and clean, our view was to the front of hotel which was lovely.
We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, service was excellent and you had a lot of options to choose from ( you were able to choose from breakfast menu options that were freshly made to order and then help yourself for coffee, cereal and pastries).
Everything ,a great base to explore the beautiful ,lakes ,walks ,,near Cavan town for restaurants and shops .Toddys cottage was the most beautiful ,quaint ,cosy cottage we ever stayed in and our host was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with .
The Cavan Crystal Hotel really is a gem. Friendly staff, beautifully clean rooms, a breakfast that hits all the right spots and a pool that was a pleasure to use made this a time of relaxation that we'll always remember fondly.
Bridie and Mary are lovely people and couldn’t be more welcoming and friendly, very clean and comfortable room and house, highly recommend staying here. Very close to Farnham estate and Cavan town, ideal location.
The accomodation was spotless and very spacious. It was a 5 min walk to the hotel where we had full use of the facilities. Extremely good value for money and we had our own space to chill out.
The facility is excellent. I had not checked the distance from Cavan, it turn out to be the best decision I made to put up at Lacken Millhouse.
I would do it any other time am in Cavan
A lovely comfortable hotel in the middle of town...rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good & we eat in the restaurant on one of our nights there. Would recommend.
Located right in town center. Made feel very safe and welcome with all the covid procedures in place. Rooms very clean. Lovely breakfast. Staff doing a great job and very friendly.
