Excellent destination at world heritage site on a quite affordable price range for the location. Still. There are numerous places for dining. Public and taxi transport available at good prices without no significant delays.
If plan is to visit it at peak season then be prepared for congestions due to high interest any many visitors at town and its surroundings.

The city has an identity, it has a character, proud, beautiful, smart, cosy and homey at the same time. We visited off-season, and that was the best treat we could have given to ourselves. I would also suggest taking a proper guided tour with a proper tour guide. It is important to understand the history, particularly the Dubrovnik Republic and the recent Dubrovnik siege is very deep and teaches us all about the real-life values, the idiocy of individualism, and wealth of sharing and carrying about your community.

I liked the city very much, it's incredibly, beautiful historical place with views, restaurants, beaches. There is a lot to visit and see. But, as all tourist cities, Dubrovnik is pretty expensive, so, you need to be prepared for it.
I think, I'll come back to Dubrovnik some day.

I loved everything about Dubrovnik - beautiful city with so much to offer and see. It is also easy to travel to other locations across the Balkans from Dubrovnik,
Just that my host and accommodation could have treated me better - in a more courteous and professional manner.

A lovely city with maybe a long weekend's worth of things to do, depending on what's important to you.
The customer service is lacking both in and around the old city; we weren't told that the Dubrovnik pass expires after one day so we barely made use of it, and many people I asked for information were rude or condescending. This rudeness is less common inside the old city but manage your expectations outside the old city walls.
We mostly used card but the odd person required cash.
While there are 'some' vegetarian options, expect to be searching for places to eat as a vegetarian or vegan diner. What options there are, are limited.
The buses are the key way to get from the port to the old town, though you need to either get a pass that covers multiple days, or get individual tickets for each journey (unless your trip will fit within an hour window). Also be mindful of which side of the road you're getting on the bus as you may end up going a significant distance the wrong way before being able to amend the situation.
The views are lovely, my wife loved the swimming, and wandering around the old city was lovely; expect to see many stray cats!

Spent 4 days there in mid October.....went to Old Town on 2 separate days. You cannot do Old Town in one day....it is extremely busy when cruise ships and bus tours arrive. Those tourists are on-site early so if you can , either go first thing or mid to late afternoon. We ventured up to Mt Srd....drove up ourselves. Many took Ubers or a taxi rather than spend about €27 to take the cable car. Beautiful views. Also drove out (30 minutes) to Cavtat for an afternoon.....lovely town....nothing to do....nice change of pace from Old Town. We stayed in the Lapad neighborhood of Dubrovnik which was great....terrific location....numerous dining options.....grocery ...beach....lovely area to walk.
This is a really new and nice apartment. It is one of the best ones we have ever rented. It is like a 5 stars hotel, just with the comfort of your home. The parking place on the roof of the building with the background of Dubrovnik's harbor is simply awesome. I recommend to all men to take the opportunity and make some pictures of your car. :)
Additionally, the Host is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for the best accommodation in Dubrovnik for your money this one is definitely should be considered.
Nothing more could be added to what has already been said about the apartment: 5 star +.
The inclusion of a couple of sun lounges would have been nice though as a few hours in the day were spent enjoying the superb vista.
For us, the best way to Dubrovnik Old Town was via the steps on `PUT OD BOSANKE` - just across from the taxi rank at the entrance to the town. After every 2nd step there`s a 2mtr long flat part that allows you to take a breather.....or to step aside for younger ones to overtake!
The apartment is luxury jewellery with perfect location. Bus stop is literally next to the front door and for just 5 minutes you could be in the heart of the old town. Everything is brand new, sparkling clean and super comfortable - It’s like you’re staying in 5 stars hotel but with the benefits of having fully equipped kitchen and getting precious hints for your stay from Ivo. He is amazing host answering all my questions and always available - I wish all of hosts were like him!
Spacious, clean room and bathroom.
Breakfast was good and plenty.
Staff was friendly and helpful with tips to get around town.
Private parking available, which is a major plus in Dubrovnik (parking in Dubrovnik is insanely expensive and can be a nightmare, as there are very few private facilities and even fewer public parking spaces). An Uber drive from the hotel to the old town will cost you 6-7€ which we found to be an excellent compromise
A great location by the beach. The nearest supermarket is a ten minute walk away along the sea front. Uber is incredibly efficient and cheap so you pop into the old town in Dubrovnik whenever you want (although the journey can take 20+ minutes if the traffic is bad). There's a lovely beach bar (Ponat) a one minute walk away and some fancier hotel beach clubs/bars/restaurants (Coral/Copacabana) another five or ten minutes walk after that.
The location is perfect, inside the walls but no need to walk many stairs to reach the house. So you get the best of both worlds here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Even if we stayed only 2 nights there, the host kindly left us 2 sets of towels for each which came in handy. The host gave us a warm welcome at our arrival. This place is perfect for a short stay in Dubrovnik if you want to stay inside the Old Town.
After so many days in a hotel, I was happy to have a location with a garden. The room and bathroom are very small, but nicely decorated, an equally small but nicely arranged garden, congratulations to the lady. Quality linen and towels, comfortable mattress. I chose the location because it was located in the area of the old town, and as we did not have much time available to visit Dubrovnik, so I settled for this location
Wonderful location 1 min walk from the beautiful beach, in the best surrounding of Dubrovnik, shops, walking trails, bus station with a quick route to the old town. Wonderful hosts that made our stay great. Beautiful garden with a perfect climate. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay, incl. tiny details. We'll definitely return one day!
The location was the best! We didn't have to drag our luggage into the city. It's right in front of the Pile Gate so that made it very convenient to access the old town. The owner was very responsive from the beginning and communicated throughout. He even arranged the transportation. Also, very reasonable. I would go again if I come back to Dubrovnik.
City Hotel Dubrovnik is an excellent value for its location, not too close to the old town, but within a short 10 minute drive. The hotel is new, the room was comfortable, with amenities and friendly staff. The parking was very convenient and secure. The restaurant was great, for dinner as well as breakfast. Overall, excellent.
Good location - not too far to walk into Dubrovnik old town and away from the main road so nice and peaceful, right next to a 5 star hotel. Really friendly owners who live 2 floors above the property and who gave us useful advice on arrival. Property was very good value for money and we enjoyed the outside terrace area.
The location. Just a few steps to the entrance to the old town. Also very close to the cable car. And just 2 minutes walk to pizzeria Tabasco which serves the best pizza in Dubrovnik (I am grateful to a taxi driver for the recommendation). Variety of the facilities. It had everything you need.
This boutique hotel is a true gem!!! We had a balcony overlooking the sea! They provided parking, it was an easy walk to the old town and city walls of Dubrovnik, and the food was AMAZING! The room was large, the bed comfortable, every detail was considered, AND…the bathroom had a soaking tub!!
The room was very clean and spacious. Hotel was well located. Easy walking distance from the ferries. The bus to the old town was very close and easy to find. Also the bus to Dubrovnik airport was at the same stop. The breakfast had a nice variety and freshly made and replenished.
If you come to Dubrovnik you need to stay here. Everything is perfect. It’s basically a four star hotel but for half the price. The owners Dino and Gasper are as friendly as helpful as it can possible get. Location is unbeatable. Quiet but close to the old town. Perfect place.
Very cute little hotel. Staff very informative about Dubrovnik. Second time to Dubrovnik but first time staying in the old town, it was amazing to be in the centre very close to all the old town has to offer.
Very nice hotel. Perfect to visit Old town of Dubrovnik. A bus is just few minutes away and it s very practical to go the old town.
The room are very nice and the swimming is great.
