From travelling around Santorini we found Kamari to be the best part of the island. It is clean, has lovely restaurants and shops and whilst the beach is pebbly there are free sun lounges with a beautiful view out to sea. We hired a car and it was easy and free to park it near by. We would also recommend the Atlantis museum and the open air cinema.

A very neat promenade with a number of nicely decorated restaurants. However, when you go deeper inland, it is not arranged like that. The beach is better towards the big rock, because it has a better access to the sea.

The location is ok-ish as you have the beach (Kamari) nearby and some hikes that start a few hundreds of meters away from the property (e.g. Ancient Thira). There’s also a bus that can get you to Fira. There are also plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and even a great coffee shop and bakery at walking distance from the property. You’ll find street parking nearby and can perform self check in and check out which is convenient.
We didn’t like the facilities that much and the cleanliness. We found ants around the bed and didn’t get the room cleaned even when we asked for it. We left the “clean room sign” on the door and all we got were new towels.

It really is a good location.
It really is a good location. You do NOT want to be in Thira - just too busy.
Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from along the seafront.
Small compact little town with a bus service that seems to get well used. Bus stop is just up the road from the Hotel. Service is regular to other parts of the island. Do not drive unless you are competent and confident. They are nutters. Roads are not really adequate for a scooter - that's why we chose a quad bike. You need to be early or late into Thira because when the cruise ships disgorge their human cargo you get swept along with the tide - not good. It can get really hot during the day so suncream and hat and water a MUST.

Santorini is a beautiful island, we all know that.
Santorini is a beautiful island, we all know that. Oia and Fira are picture perfect cities. But to really enjoy holidays, go to Kamari. You don't have to walk far to go to the beach. And the beach is amazing. It's amazing vibe there, with great bars and restaurants. And you have buses all day long to go to Fira / Oia.
We liked the architecture of the hotel, very beautiful and Santorinian-like. The staff was nice, although we had only two brief interactions due to our short stay (it was a 2-nights stay because of flight cancellation). The location is great - like 200 meters from the beach, plenty of grocery shops and restaurants nearby - we recommend Ariale Restaurant, down the street - amazing food, very good priced and friendly staff. The hotel is situated in an area where you can find everything you need, basically.
Mr and Mrs Moschatos were wonderful hosts, they did their best to ensure that we have a pleasant and carefree stay in Santorini.
We got a spacious apartment that had both seaside and mountain view. It was nicely decorated and had all the facilities you'd need.
It might be one of the best locations in Kamari: close to the main bus stop and close to Kamari Beach (<5 minutes walk, there's even a private alley down to the beach). There are lots of amazing tavernas nearby, plus Santorini's best bakery.
The location was perfectly situated near the beach, without being directly on the noisy main street. Spyros and Anna were incredibly friendly and able to provide me with suggestions on which restaurants and bars that they thought I would like. The room was in great shape and the bed super comfy. I even had a nice balcony to enjoy my morning coffee while the sun came up. Looking forward to my next trip to Santorini and to see Spyros and Anna again! Thanks so much!
Everything was very nice, the owners are extremely nice people, who are ready to help their guests in every way. They provide us all the information on beautiful places in Santorini, helped us to rent a scooter and kindly replied to all the questions. Kamari is a beautiful place, we really did enjoy the vibe that gives this place, with lots of bars, taverns and restaurants. The hotel is situated very close to the beach and all the restaurants. Recommend!
My partner and I had the best time staying in Kamari and especially in the Santellini Hotel. They had the friendliest of staff and the owner Martha was wonderful, she really made you feel welcome and at home with her delicious wish cake.
The pool area was kept very clean and we enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs sunlounge area.
The room size was great and the location couldn't have been better. We felt really sad to leave Santorini....
Very close to Kamari beach (beach itself, restaurants), but just away enough this is not a disturbance. Suitable for family as it has spacious living room and terrace. Hosts are very kind and thoughtful (we were very pleasantly surprised by welcome and goodbye gifts they provided). Close to an airport (which was nice for us as we arrived late in the evening) and way cheaper than accommodations on western side of Santorini
I recommend the villa Angira to everyone, it is located in a very quiet location , with a nice bar and a wonderful swimming pool, but this would not be possible without the involvement of the owner Mihaela and her husband, who are always available to help you with any information and suggestions to make your vacation one as you wanted I will return here when I come again to Santorini . Thank you Mihaela
Hermes Hotel is in an excellent location and a short few minute walk to beach where there are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel is super clean and we had daily maid service.
The staff are fantastic - nothing is too much for them and always helpful and very friendly - the friendliness of all the staff everywhere in Santorini is one thing that stood out for me. Stunning island.
I loved every minute of my time at Hippocampus Hotel. The room was very nice with comfy beds, AC and a little balcony. The swimming pool was great. Very good breakfast. The staff is absolutely lovely.
The beach is only a few steps from the hotel, so is the bus stop to go visit other areas of the island. When I come back yo Santorini, I'll make sure to come back to Hippocampus Hotel.
Clean and beautiful location with wonderful pool. The host was very friendly and attentive, helped us with car rent and explained us some local useful things. We advise you to take car rent and get easy to Kamari beach ( 3-4 minutes by car) or explore Santorini island. We visited Thira, Oia and Perissa regions and decided that Kamari we like most of all for staying.
The staff was very friendly and they were ready to answer any questions we asked. When we arrived they gave us information and guidance on what we could do in Santorini. The room was basic but clean. The staff used to clean the room every day. The breakfast was ok. Very good location, close to the beach, restaurants, markets, etc. It is to be recommended.
Everything was great, Stamatis and Petrus are very nice, friendly and helpful. they provided us some good information about how to spend our short holiday in Santorini. they responded very quickly via mail before we arrived there. You will have the best view ever in this Hotel!! it is on top of the Hill, The Beach is around 10-15 min walk from the Hotel.
Location is right on the beach (chairs and towels are provided to hotel guests). Rooms are comfortable (shower is somewhat small). Restaurant has a lot of options and is really good. Owner Minos is absolutely amazing - helping with everything and make you feel so welcome. Overall is great experience. We’ll be back next time we are in Santorini.
The staff was very nice and helpful and they gave us a bottle of wine upon arrival. The room was quiet and cleaned daily. Even if the beaches in Santorini are not the best, we received towels and we could stay at the pool all day long.
I recommend this location if you want a quiet place, is ideal for families.
The staff was extremely nice and kind.
Good location, close to the beach and very well served with two bus stops nearby. Kamari is quieter than Fira or Oia, which can really be a good thing if you visit Santorini during high season, but it's still very well connected to the main town.
Quiet hotel on Kamari Beach, away from the populated areas of Santorini. Very comfortable clean room, staff extremely friendly and helpful, great breakfast, many restaurants and stores, located right on the beach, nice pool, hotel bar and restaurant with excellent service and food.
Best Place to stay in Santorini! Best Location, just a minute walk to the beach, the owner Georgios is super helpful and we are super grateful for the warm welcome. The rooms are clean and modern. Lot’s of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend ✨ will come back and stay here again
George is a great host. We are vegetarian so his mom baked a eggless cake that we excellent. George stocked the refrigerator with fruits and had many things for us.
If we ever go back to Santorini we would definitely stay at the same place. Thank you George for everything.
Location is in the city center, hotel is nice and clean. Personnel is also very friendly and kind. We liked the pool which is very nice option to the rocky Santorini beaches. :)
