VILLA AMALIA IS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE OF PALEKASTRO, IT A SMALL COMMUNITY OF HOUSES ON A HILL OVERLOOKING THE BEACH OF KOUREMENOS. WE ARE ALL RELATED HERE ON THE HILL. WE HAVE LOTS OF LOCAL, MEANING IN THE VILLAGE, DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS WITH LIVE MUSIC AND DANCING. OUR BIGGEST FESTIVAL IS THE CHURCH CELEBRATION. AUGUST 15 EACH YEAR. AND OUR TOURIST APPRECIATION DAY IS ALWAYS CELCBRATED ON SEPTEMBER 27 EACH YEAR. AS FOR THE CHILDREN THERE ARE MANY BEACHES, SOME WHERE THE WATER IF VERY SHALLOW IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE SMALL. AT VAI BEACH THERE ARE ALL SORTS OF WATER SPORTS INCLUDING JET SKI AND WATER SKIING, RIGHT DOWN TO BADDLE BOATS. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. AND IF YOUR PARENTS WINDSURF THERE IS CHILD CARE ON THE BEACH WITH ROCK PAINTING AND MANY OTHER CREATIVE THINGS TO DO TO KEEP YOU LITTLE ONES BUSY. IN THE EVENINGS AT THE VILLAGE SQUARE THE CHILDREN JUST SEEM TO GATHER BY THE CHURCH. CHILDREN FROM EVERYWHERE SPEAKING MANY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND THEY ALL PLAY TOGETHER. THE ALL SPEAK THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND THEY ALL UNDERSTAND . THEY HAVE A GREAT TIME. AND IT'S GREAT FUN TO WATCH THEM. IN PALEKASTRO'S MAIN SQUARE THERE ARE 4 RESTAURANTS TWO BARS AND WITHIN THE NEXT BLOCK OR TWO THERE ARE SO MANY MORE INCLUDING CHURCH, SHOPS, BANK, POST OFFICE, HAIR CUTS, LAUNDRY, MINI MARKETS, BUTCHERS, PASTRIES,BREAD BAKERIES, YOU CAN EVEN BUY FRESH GOAT MILK. GREAT STUFF IF YOU HAVN'T TRIED IT. I'M SURE I FORGOT SOMETHING AND I'M SORRY BUT YOU'LL FIND THEM YOURSELF BUT DON'T LEAVE PALEKASTRO WITHOUT TRYING LOUKOUMATHES. THEY ARE WARM AND SWEET JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE HERE. YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
