Nice and charming city, with typical architecture for cities in Greece, all buildings almost the same size and very close to each other with narrow streets and sidewalks (looks chaotic and cute at the same time). Lots of cafes and restaurants in the city center. Visited for the New Year and were surprised how everything was decorated, every street, square, tree... Do not miss the fortress and the view from there.
Sunset is great as the city is oriented to the west.
Also highly recommend to visit Archaia Olympia (where Olympic games in ancient Greece were held) which is 1.5 hours away by car.
Be careful in the traffic in the city center as it is very chaotic, during 5 days experienced several cases where cars just did not stop on a red light (when for pedestrians was green!).
Another negative side - extremely expensive fee for driving over the bridge if entering the city from north (14.7 eur per car for one direction!)

Patra is a wonderful city, bustling and peaceful at the same time. We drank very delicious Greek coffee in quite a few cafes. The castle offers a wonderful view of the city. We tasted great wines at Achaia Clauss.

Patra is the key location for any traveler who wants to mix sunbathing days with history lessons experiences. One can easily get to more than 5 beaches located nearby, all with crystal clear waters and either pebbles or sand, where sunbeds can be found. At the same time, there are multiple other historical locations that can be visited (Epidavros, Delphi, Ancient Olimpia, temple of Apollo, Micene, etc.). All the small villages along the coast offer exquisite views and interesting things may be learnt from them (see Nafpaktos and Lepanto)

Patras is worth visiting for its architecture and night life. There are some very good restaurants too, we ate in Prego in the old city and is a quirky restaurant with excellent Mediterranean dishes. Stroll around the pedestrian areas and you will be stunned by the liveliness of the city. Stop for a drink at Treli Rodia an old time favourite and speak to the owner Alexis to learn about the Patras he has experienced

Patras is the third largest city in Greece, it is a very lively place and has many young people. There are ferries to all the Ionian Islands from Patra and nearby Killini. Patras is best known for its Rio-Antirio bridge. It is a real pleasure to swim on one of the beaches near the bridge and watch the huge mountains across the road.
Fantastic view from the sea view room. Literally on the beach. Location far out for Patra centre a little but taxi was only 8 euro. Location for Rio hospital hard to beat.
Lovely comfortable bed which to me is very important.. nothing beats a good nights sleep.
The breakfast choice was amazing and definitely one of the best buffet breakfasts i have had.
The staff were simply fantastic. So friendly and helpful even if the hotel wasn't as good as it actually was the staff alone would get it a 10/10.
We spent a night there as the next morning we were taking a ferry to Zakynthos from Killini. Patra turns out to be a lovely place and the hotel is in the city center. We arrived on a Sunday so not a lot of places were open in the early afternoon and we took advantage of the restaurant on the last floor, we had a nice meal accompanied by a great view of the harbour and the surroundings. The rooms are somewhat dated but clean and spacious. The breakfast is worth it, good coffee and food.
Hidden Gem in Patras Greece! Loved staying at Villa Alexandros! The hosts were very accommodating, kind, and easy to communicate with. The villa was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, spotless, and spacious! The barbecue outside was quite a sight, and the view was breathtakingly stunning. The infinity pool is lovely and perfect for children, families and friends. The area is also peaceful, and has a refreshing breeze. Definitely recommend and hope to be back very soon!
The staff was very polite and helpful, it’s very clear that all the staff trying hard to make your stay pleasant. The room was well decorated and big enough, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom super clean! The breakfast was delicious and fresh and it served in the top floor with an amazing sea view! Finally, the hotel is located in the city center and provides free parking! Its my first choice every time I visit Patra!
Amazing one night stay in Patras. Wish we could have stayed longer. Stavros was so helpful when we arrived and waited for us as we arrived late in the evening. The beds are sooo comfortable and the rooms are exceptionally clean. Love the special touches ; robes and slippers. Great wifi signal also. Not sure why it’s only a 3 star because it should be rated much higher. Free parking is a big bonus. Highly recommend 10/10
Nice and clean Hotel, big rooms, friendly staff. All in all it is a decent Hotel, but for the brand and the price I just expected more. However a positive point was the free, uncomplicated parking which is really helpfull in busy Patras (big parking area behind the Hotel, you just ring a bell and the staff opens the barriers.
Hotel is located central to the city of Patras and within close proximity to shops, cafes and public transport. The property was clean, great value for money and the staff were very friendly and would always greet us when we were in the lobby. Would definitely recommend staying here!
I had a lovely stay in this hotel, I made a mistake with the booking dates and the issue was fixed easily with one quick phone call. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is located right in the centre of the city of Patras. I would highly recommend.
The location is comfortable, clean, has a welcoming design, the room is spacious enough. It is easy to find and having a parking space is a real deal, as parking can be really difficult in patras. It is located really close to the city center.
The hotel was very centrally located, close to everything. The room was quite spacious and it was getting cleaned every day. The breakfast was also very good and it had a variety of food. It's a value for money stay in the city center.
Parking right in the front of the hotel. A few minutes walk to the busy pedestrain street of Patras with many great shops and restaurants. Very friendly chekin procedures. The cleaning lady fell in love with our dog. Very sweet.
it’s a clean Hotel, modern, at a very good location in Patras, walking distance to everything.
The front desk people are extremely polite, helpful and pleasant. Also an excellent breakfast.
