Therma is a wonderful place to all who want to meet unspoiled nature. Sea shore and hot sulfur springs are there but really great are waterfalls on the torrents coming down from the Fengari mountain and making deep basins (vatras) at their foot. These mountain rivers are sheltered with old sycamore trees and strawberry shrub. Water is clear and not too cold, attract many beautiful insects. A hike to the top of Fengari (1600 m) is possible but it requires a certain physical level. Time that we spent in Therma was magnificient!

It's dirty - nobody is emptying garbage.
It's dirty - nobody is emptying garbage.
Locals treat animals horribly: I saw an older guy kicking a cat for no reason, and a local boy throwing a basketball at a chained dog.
Beware of cheating in restaurants, menus and/or obvious price-lists are rare, this applies island-wide with some honorable exceptions.
A very different Greek island indeed, and it's not a compliment. Beautiful nature is not enough.

Therma is a very good location for tourists as a starting point to see all intersting sights and places on the island. It is located close to one of the beaches and at the same time it is surrounded by big trees, mainly syccamores, typical for the island, so it offers a nice combination of sea and woods.

Samothraki is a small island. Not much to do on it.
Samothraki is a small island. Not much to do on it. The beaches (although might look interesting at first look) are not friendly, rocky, narrow. The "famous" waterfalls are impressive for those who never saw waterfalls before or because they are in Greece. (not big deal, but good for doing something there).
Visit once, and that's enough.
Overrated.
The location of the rooms is one of the best in Samothrace. Super market at walking distance, just a few meters from the central square, there is even an excellent tavern right across the street. For someone who wants to stay at Therma and visit the waterfalls, this is the place to stay. The rooms were ultra clean but what makes this property stand out is the excellent hospitality by our hosts Anna ( or Calliope ☺️ ) and her husband Nikos. Thank you for a great time and we truly hope to see you again soon.
The rooms although small were well maintained. There was a brand new air conditioner in the room. When the weather got chilly we had to turn the a/c on. There was a small safe in the wardrobe but it was not fixed on the wall. The building was surrounded with big trees. There was water everywhere. It was the hottest running water I have ever seen in my life in a hotel room. The admin was friendly and at a trouble shooting mood all the time. They were always attentive and understanding.
Very nice rooms and beautiful hospitality. The location is excellent if you want to explore Therma and the lady owners were SO kind!! Even waving us goodbye in the end and the offering us coffee etc. Sparkling clean - and with a nice balcony overlooking the green garden. Sleeping with the sound of the cicadas is also awesome. ❤️
Everything was great …. gorgeous property in a super location. This is a family-run hotel and the owner, George was just fantastic…. incredibly polite and gave great advice & information about the island! Our room was super comfortable and had a beautiful view of the property & the sea. will definitely come back!
The view, the wide open space and the proximity to the sea. The host was kind and helpful with requests and any information we needed. He also gave us better accommodations when we had a problem with the original one that we booked (see below) and he fulfilled all of our requests to make us comfortable.
Convenient location, five minutes to beach, five to thermal pools, market next door. View of the ocean from the room. Can have meals served right to your room, I was working a lot during my stay and it was so nice to have food or coffee delivered right to my desk/patio table.
Very nice family place with amazing hosts. The room was clean and spacious with an excellent view and cozy terrace! Lots of shaded parking space. There is a small beach across the street if you feel lazy and don’t wanna go to the one in Terma.
Felicia is super sweet and there to help if you have any questions. From the balcony you can see the ocean, and the property is well-located close to the restaurants and bars in Therma, though the street itself is very quiet and super green.
Everything was perfect! Amazing little hotel in the heart of Therma. Very friendly staff. The hostess was so kind and helpful. The place is beautiful and quiet with large shaded trees and a stream running near by. Highly recommended!!
Location is great, relaxed and beautiful view from the balcony on the second floor
Great garden and parking lot
Spacious room
A mini kitchen outside the room is very useful
Price is also good
It’s a nice, basic accomodation as one would expect in the simple and relaxed village of Therma. Its well located in the center, easy check-in, balcony, shared kitchen.
