Great location, lousy service - esp reception. However, great service at Grace Beach Bar.

In a great location in the protected area of the Strofilia Lake, 215 yards from the award-winning Koukounaries Beach, the Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel features a swimming pool and restaurant.

The staff were amazing. Food was great. Service and friendliness of everyone there was top notch. We were there for a bbq Greek dancing evening and it was so much fun! Suffered through a horrendous storm but the staff were so accommodating and gracious. Making everyone as comfortable as possible. Miranda and her staff were amazing. Loved it!!
Just 492 feet from Koukounaries Beach, Aelia Studios offer self-catering accommodations with views over the Aegean Sea and Strofilia Lake. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas.

Great place to stay if you're looking for peaceful holiday. Very nice and friendly owners, clean and comfortable studio where you can find all you need. Best beaches nearby , great nature and air (pine forest). Supermarket 3min by foot bus station- 5 min, a few places to eat.
650 ft from Koukounaries beach, Strophilia offers self-catering accommodations set within a lush garden. Within walking distance, guests can find a supermarket, taverns and bars.

Great location ,even top class restaurant on site.
This family-run apartment complex is set amid lush green landscape, and right next to the beach of Asselinos. All units have a fully equipped kitchen and a living area.

Nice beach, but a bit overcrowded (in the number of persons / number of sunbeds). Although, in the see you don't feel the crowd.
Koukounaries is a bit far away from Skiathos Town (45 minutes to 1 hour the bus drive). small market shops in koukounaries are very expensive (at least 2 times more than a usual supermarket, while the selection of products is limited).

Koukounaries is a remote village surrounded by forest, 15-30 minutes walk to very beautiful beaches. I missed the seaviews and the nightlife. None of the properties in this area has seaview, because there is a lake and a forest that separates the main road from the beach. I would recommend to rent a car or something else to go to the beaches around. When it is very hot, it is not comfortable to walk 30 minutes under the sun. Bear in mind that the area is full of rats, especially if the property is in the wood. My friends ( 6 families) were staying at Driades and I was terrified to see rats in the garden among children playing. Not to mention at night! ( of course we have photos and videos)
I have eaten at Under the pine, which is nice and at Big Bad Wolf, where we have paid 12 euros for the bread! But the seabass and the lamb chops were perfect.
The beaches nearby are quite beautiful. My favorite was Mandraki Elias. Agia Eleni is a nice beach, too. Koukounaries is very crowded, but it is ok to go for a day or two.

Koukounaries is a fairly long road with relatively few properties, it's basically a big pine forest surrounded by a dozen beautiful beaches... there's at least two brilliant bars, more restaurants.
Great bus service, 20 minutes to town.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No reflection of the photos on Booking.com and a complete scam. Our room had been double booked and we were told our only option was to sleep in a room allocated to staff with a broken shower, no aircon and ripped /dirty curtains.
Promised a 60% refund only to be told upon our return to the UK that this wouldn't happen.
Arranged with the hotel to be collected by the hotel from the airport to only wait 2 hours before being told make your own way.
Completely missold based on the profile and images on Booking

It is a small resort at the far end of the island with a few Taverna’s and a gorgeous beach
It has a water taxi from the beach to Skiathos town and buses every 10 mins to get around the island.
The tavernas are varied and a couple of bar’s one of which is mostly English and sells cocktails and English breakfasts, which personally I want to avoid when in the beautiful Greek islands.
Greek food and hospitality is amazing and I like to appreciate local dishes, Souv Lake was a lovely gyros cafe bar, on the way to the beach.
Would definitely recommend the area and would return, although for night life you are best to get the bus into town.
Our stay at Driades was wonderful. Maria is a great host and she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Her artwork gives the place a warm feeling and the staff keeps everything clean, daily. The villa is located in a peaceful area, with easy access to the beach and to the best restaurants and supermarkets in Koukounaries. The rooms from our maisonette were spacious, private and well furnished. And the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
Situated in a peaceful pine forest, 10 minute walk away from the main road. The rooms are a bit outdated, but provide everything you need. There is Georges bar at the premises with George being an awesome host. We would cheer for Greece and Slovenia basketball teams on Eurobasket 2022 when the games were on, otherwise spent evenings over a few beers with George and other guest. Guests have an option of BBQ also. A really pleasant place to stay. Thanks for great holidays to all the staff. Best regards from Slovenia.
The accommodation is situated in a quiet environment surrounded by a large garden with beautiful pine trees. The noise of the main road can almost not be heard at all. The room was well equipped and had a pleasant temperature. Koukounaries beach is easily approachable on foot through the trail along Strophilia lake. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket. Bus stop 24 is 1-2 mins on foot. The owner/cleaning lady was very nice.
A charming little hotel among greenery and a beautiful garden. Quiet and relaxation. In a very clean room there is a comfortable and functional kitchenette with a cooker, a sink and a refrigerator. Close to the best beaches on the island. Nearby there are 2 supermarkets, restaurants and a bus stop.
Kostas and his Family are fantastic owners, helpful, caring, making every effort to make the guest feel comfortable.
The location is awesome, if you just need to explore the Koukounaries area. Using a car is optional, really. Quite a few beaches are within walking distance and the beach of Koukounaries (suitable and very popular with families / kids) is just a couple of minutes away. The view from my room was great, I truly enjoyed it. The owner was very kind and helpful and a bottle of decent wine came as a welcome gift.
This is a high quality resort and we really enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast. Multiple good restaurants on site although prices a little high. Few independent restaurants nearby the complex so there aren't many local options for eating unless you have transport. There is a local bus that runs every 20-30minutes to Skiathos town 30 mins away. Lovely beaches and helpful staff.
The hotel has a great location close to Koukounaries and other beaches. Despite being close to the main road, it was very calm. The hotel rooms are in different small buildings which are spread across an amazing and well kept garden. Staff was always very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was even nicer than in the pictures, it had a very cozy feeling. 5 minutes walk to Koukounaries beach. The host was very helpful, we asked before arriving if there is a child seat in the apartment, it was not, but they ordered one.
The pool which is amazing
The garden
The location near a nice sandy beach (although too busy, there are amazing other beaches to discover away from the crowds)
The tranquility (skiathos can be noisy in places)
The value for money
The pool bar
It is located in a forest, that’s why it was cooler in the hot summer. The property is also close to two of the most famous beaches in Skiathos island - Koukounaries and Banana beach. It is very clean and the staff are doing great job.
Excellent location, the bus stops just outside. Tassos the owner was so friendly and helpful, he met us on arrival and gave us tips for where to go and eat. Very close walking distance to all the best beaches of Skiathos.
Beautiful hotel, with a panoramic view of the beach, sea and mountains.
Lots of choice at breakfast and handy they provide free shuttle buses to the airport and beaches.
Clean, Koukounaries Beach 10 min walk, comfortable beds, good a/c, kitchen, terrace, garden view, market 100m walk, manicured property, super nice hosts. We will be back!
Every time we come to Skiathos we stay at the Amalia, and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. It wouldn’t be skiathos without Fotis and George ❤️❤️
