Remote, a bit of a drive to reach, but totally worth it if you like a quiet secluded place. The evenings were chilly, perfect for summer days, the sky full of stars and the garden perfect for chill-out. Chrisoula, our host, was most welcoming and available for us. Any question we had, she was very responsive. The place was lovely, very well equipped with everything needed. The house is quite spacious, clean and modernish designed with good taste. You have close by local taverns in the area (we liked Rotonta so much, just 10-15 min walk). Ps. There is AC in all rooms, so nothing to worry about here.

Hello, my name is Chrysoula! I was born in Germany to Greek immigrant parents, I left when I was 5 years old and I returned to Kalathenes in Chania, where I lived for another 5 years since then I have never traveled abroad again ... Now I live in Chania and I have 3 children! My dream and love for travel is great but I did not manage to travel abroad again. So in 2017 I decided to renovate the house that belonged to my grandparents, having beautiful memories and strong emotions, so that I can host people from all over the world. , to know their habits by discussing and mentally to travel with them too! I worked in hotels as a cook and so I made my dream come true to build the Margiani House! I am waiting to meet you !!

The house is situated in Kalathenes, a mountainous village with spectacular views of both the mountains and the sea, 12 kilometres from Kissamos. Villa Rotonda is the landmark of the village, a Venetian villa dating back in the 17th century. Take a walk around this beautiful, traditional village, enjoy coffee in one of the traditional cafes. The house is just a few minutes drive away from the 2 most popular beaches of the island, Elafonisi and Falasarna. The location is ideal for relaxing, near to all amenities. Less than 1 km away you will find the café and the supermarket of the village. For more variety you can visit the town of Kissamos at a distance of 10 km.
