Nice little town with a beautiful central square with a modern playground and a lot of nice cafes and restaurants around it. Very close to the beautiful Bouka beach. It is in the ideal location for many excursions in the surrounding area, all the main tourist attractions are within 45-60 mins slow drive

The ancient walls are amazing and the ruins of the ancient city were well laid out, but a lot of walking, with great views to the coast. Better than Olympia, and very few tourists.
We walked from the hotel to the town square for a good supper.

In our opinion this spot is really underrated if you compare it for example to Olympia. A couple of things are really well deserved like the gymnasium and wrestling area.
We enjoyed the quietness and the beautifull surrounding.

Not to be confused with ancient Messini, which is at least a half hour drive away, but it is definitely worth a visit. (Modern) Messini is no tourist destination, but the region around it is wonderful, whether you drive east (the Mani) or west (Pylos, Methoni and their Venetian fortresses). There are a few nice beaches within around 10 minutes drive.
Perfect small hotel for me. The room was cozy with wood floors, stone walls, a comfortable bed, good WiFi. Excellent location for visiting sites in the area as I like a quiet place in a small village. I would even stay here to visit Kalamata. The breakfast buffet was very good with many local products to choose from. I arrived late in the day so street parking was easy. Short walk to a good restaurant overlooking Ancient Messini.
Lovely and spacious apartment, nicely located in the center of Messini, with shops, bars, and restaurants all within walking distance, but in a quiet and peaceful corner. There is ample free parking in the vicinity and the location can be quite convenient for the airport, but also to reach the nearby beaches. The hosts are exceptionally responsive and accommodating. Overall, an amazing value for the price charged.
Booked four nights at the Buca Beach and it was exceptional! I wasn't sure what to expect but the hotel and it's facilities were excellent. The staff were, without exception, charming and couldn't have been more accommodating! I had a couple of massages (many thanks Fortis) and have to say that they were amazing!
We had a great stay after arriving in Kalamata on an evening flight, a bit too late for us to drive to Gythio where we are staying. The hotel is very friendly, comfortable and had a delicious breakfast. The staff gave us good advice about finding somewhere in the local square to have supper. Thanks very much!
The hotel was a great place to stay for us, the scenery was amazing. The room was well kept and very clean. The bathroom facilities were new and the shower was amazing.
The breakfast was traditional greek and delicious. Quite a large selection to choose from. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
The staff at Hotel Drosia go above and beyond. I had an early morning flight and they drove me there for free. The hotel is simple but clean and right next to the airport. Great location if you have to fly out early or late and you can get to Kalamata with public transit fairly easily.
Nice, clean hotel. The room was a good size. The breakfast was very nice and worth the extra 7€. Very good soundproofing; the hotel was on a busy road and when I opened the window it was noisy, but when I shut it I could barely hear anything. The staff was helpful with my suitcase.
Maria is a wonderful host- make sure to opt for breakfast- a delicious assortment of home grown foods from the families farm. Nice view of the archeological site from our balcony; close to a good restaurant. Hotel is newer and very clean without sacrificing the old world charm.
We wanted to stay one overnight after very late arrival to Kalamata airport. The hotel has made the purpose. 4 min driving from airport, very fast accommodating arrangements. Free convenient near door private parking. Very polite personal.
This is a good, ordinary hotel which represented very good value for money. It was very clean, convenient for the airport and the staff, especially the receptionist, were friendly and helpful. All one needed or expected.
Excellent location for Kalamata airport (which is wonderfully small). Very friendly family run hotel. Extremely excellent breakfast. Plenty of communal space . Balconies for viewing Mountain scenery.
Great location for exploring Ancient Messini. Very friendly and helpful host. Easy street parking. We bought the breakfast and were very happy with the tasty options.
