Gennadi is an adorable small village featuring a handful of delightful restaurants, a bakery, and a small grocery store. It enjoys a convenient location, with short driving distances to neighboring villages and cities – just 10 minutes to Kiotari and 30 minutes to Lindos. The journey to Rhodes Old Town takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. If you prefer tranquil, less touristy destinations, Gennadi is an excellent choice.

Best beaches in the whole of Rhodes.
Best beaches in the whole of Rhodes. Since the winds are usually blowing from north/west and Gennadi is situated on the southeast coast the place is less windy. The beach is really long and has pebbles, so you don't get sand everywhere.
There is a really nice beach front bar/restaurant called Sposa del Sol. Their signature drink Sposa del Sol is super good. They have beach front sunbeds and sofas for their clients.
Along the beach there is also another really nice restaurant Klimis, with nice homemade food. Best fried vegetables are found here.
In the village of Gennadi there are a lot of very good restaurants. At least Mama and Zorbas have superb Greek traditional foods. I am sure there are many more good ones also, we just did not have time to visit them all.
Gennadi is cheaper and more genuine than the old town of Rhodes and Lindos, and it is a more tranquil place.
One of the nicest places that we have visited in Greece.
It is recommended to rent a car - it will give you so much more freedom and easy. But there is also a bus.

A large village / small town with a good selection of bars, restaurants, a green grocer, excellent bakery, and reasonable supermarket. South of here, things become increasingly spartan, whilst northwards they are increasingly touristy, so strikes a good balance between practicality and traditional feel.
Set back about 250m from the beach, with some very nice properties available to rent, some with pools.
Has a good local feel to it, with plenty of local people around, not just tourists.
Food prices generally good - a large, whole, grilled fish for 18 euros at Zorba's Tavern, for example, or a very fat gyros with pork for 3 euros at Bessa's Corner. Some restaurants push Italian pizza and pasta as well as Greek traditions, with one or two feeling more traditional (e.g. goat stew or excellent moussaka at Sergio's Old Times). Some offer take out and delivery service too if you are outside the village (e.g. Bessa's Corner can deliver all sorts of grills and gyros).
At the back of the village is a small church, with a pleasant walk through a green way to the graveyard and valley behind.
Bus stop by the pharmacy on the main road, with easy access to Lindos (2.70 one way), Rhodes (7.20 one way) and other places. Car and scooter hire available in the village itself too.

We love Gennadi. It has some lovely restuarants .
We love Gennadi. It has some lovely restuarants . Fully recommend going to Mammas but you need to book as gets very busy, food is great. The town itself is very pretty and at night they close down the main street and all the restaurants bring their tables out. Greek dance happens at night in the street also. Gennadi has everything you need a small supermarket, bakery, greengrocers and is very close to the beach. The beach is very pebbley so take some beach shoes with you

Gennadi is a lively little place and as yet not over developed. The village is friendly, charming and has everything you need for a week self catering.
Highly recommend restaurants in Gennadi - Mana’s Kitchen and Zorbas. For ice cream and sweet treats go to the South Bakery.
I’d recommend visiting both Rhodes Town and Lindos (the bus stop is 1 minute from the property).
The beach is shingle and pebbles. It is a wide ‘bay’ but we preferred to use our pool rather than go to the beach.

Gennadi is a lovely village to visit.
Gennadi is a lovely village to visit. Tourists are well catered for but the village is not overly touristy which is a plus. There is a good, cheap bus service to Lindos and Rhodes Town although this is much slower than driving. Ginnardi has a gorgeous beach which is very quiet but with some tavernas, a beach bar and sun loungers available. It exceeded my expectations
Clean, safe, peaceful hotel. Renovated spacious rooms. It is a great choice, if you are looking for a more peaceful stay. The towels got changed daily, need to bring your own pool towel though. Nearby is a lovely village with a variety of restaurants and couple of shops. The pebble beach was not crowded in June and has crystal clear water. The pool-bar has ouzo, vine and variety of cocktails. Super friendly barman Dimitris plays good music at leisurely volume. He made our stay pleasant and had some great local knowledge to share.
Excellent apartments with fully equipped kitchen in a house with a large swimming pool, located along a secondary road a little away from the center, but very quiet and peaceful place while everything is close and very accessible: the beach is 3 minutes by car or 10 minutes on foot, the village center with taverns, a supermarket and a bakery, 10 minutes on foot. the hostess Chrisoula is very hospitable and hospitable, she keeps the apartments in perfect cleanliness. Gennadi beach is just great with crystal clear water.
The location was just steps away from the beach. Was very private, lovely pool and outside space. The host was attentive to when we needed assistance / something sorting and he and his family brought us provisions from their garden and even fresh fish they had caught! He even gave us a lift into Gennadi so we could all enjoy a meal without driving. The villa was even better than we expected as there were 2 double bedrooms that were separated by a door so each couple had privacy.
Everything was great. The house is very comfortable, clean and spacious. A few rooms have marvelous sea view. Equipped beach is located in about 7-10 minutes to walk. The village center with restaurants and supermarket is in 15 minutes walk or 3 mins drive.
There’s also a nice restaurant just behind the fence.
The internet connection was super. And we really appreciated the mosquito nets on all the windows.
We enjoyed staying a lot and would definitely come back!
The location is great, we love this place! For people who value privacy and nature. The house has absolutely everything you need, for cooking, playing, resting etc. Especially good for families with children. The Gennadi pebble beach has the cleanest water, the Glistra sandy beach is only 14.4 km from villa and of course Prasonisi beach is about 25 minutes with car away. We highly recommend this villa to all not depending on the age!
We could always get a sunbed round the nice clean pool without having to get up early. Very friendly owners who cannot do enough for you and are always contactable via WhatsApp. Pool towels provided and amenity pack inc tea, coffee, water, dishwasher tablets etc to get you started. Great location 5 min walk to supermarket, bakery, shops and restaurants. 5 min drive to beach. Bar open in the evening from 9pm till late.
The location was good, close to a quiet beach and really lovely village of Gennadi with restaurants for a variety of affordability.
The pool was a good size and well maintained. Giorgos our contact was so helpful and welcoming. He really helped us find what we needed all through our stay, he went above and beyond the call of duty!
The house was big and spacious for all six of us ( inc 2 children)with secure parking.
Clean and new apartment with a nice pool. Exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. Ideal for a family with two kids or for two couples. Really helpful host! In a short walking distance to a (pebble) beach and to Gennadi centre, a small town with many good restaurants, an awsame bakery, a small supermarket and a few shops. Great place to explore the island and also unwind!
Overall the stay was lovely. The host was lovely and easy stay in touch with. She was helpful and provided some good tips. The villa is well located, 2 minutes walk to the local beach and 5mins drive to the local village. The was clean and is spread across two floors with kitchen, bathroom and living room, GF & L1 Terrace. There is AC in every space, which was amazing.
The open plan element of the resort and amount of space around the resort , the rooms were clean and well designed. The staff were friendly. Beach was lovely and not that many people used it so felt very private. The food selection was good. The rooms were clean, the swim up pools were great. Overall great for families , couples , and all round a good place to go.
The Villa was clean and it was perfect for our family holiday. All questions were responded to quickly. A great base for exploring Rhodes. It was a short walk to the small village of Gennadi, which had everything we needed. The children loved the pool which they used every day.
Thanks - we will visit again.
The location is excellent, right next to the sea with private beach and sunbeds. Everything was just like in the pictures. The Villa and the swimming pool were absolutely clean.
The owner was extremely helpful.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.
The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast that offered a lot of variety. The location of the hotel is perfect, allowing for an easy walk to the restaurants in the village and a slightly longer walk to the beach
Great place to stay! Good location, 8-10 minutes walk from the beach, 3 minutes walk to the central street with bars&restaurants. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you need in bathroom and kitchen.
Perfect location. Lots of space and beautiful beach. The owner, Leo, was wonderful. He made numerous recommendations for restaurants that were open during our March stay, and they were all fantastic.
Big and regularly cleaned partment with everything one need.
City is close, view is great, swimming pool is clean and nice bar to relax even more after a relaxing day on the beach:)
small and cozy hotel with wonderful staff who made our stay at the hotel very special. we loved the outdoor area for eating and the beach that was in few minutes walking distance
