Tucked away a 10 minute walk from the town of Agia Marina, is this gem. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were just perfect with a view of the bay and the town.

Impossible to describe in words. It’s an experience, not just a place to sleep. The matriarch is a woman full of energy , mesmerizing, who deserves a place in all the best cultural travel books on Greece. Filippo, her son, is great! As a long time traveler all over Turkey and Greece I find the Turkish influence fascinating. A wonderful, unforgettable experience.

This place is perfect for holiday-makers who want to get around quickly, find everything within walking distance and just plan to relax on the beach. Reasonable prices altogether, no luxury resorts. There are better places when you plan to do anything other than just lying on the beach and spend a happy time there.

Agia Marina and the rest of the island offers beautiful...
Agia Marina and the rest of the island offers beautiful beaches, some of them sandy and you can walk out for miles! It can be reached by 30 minute hydro from Athens to Aegina town, then a 20 minute taxi ride. The main town has everything you could need regarding choice of traditional greek and more contemporary restaurants, a few bars, shops and supermarket. For us it was reminiscent of 'old Greece' and not geared up to British tourists, which we loved! Amongst the charm, be prepared for the 'closures' like you may see in any seaside town in the UK, be that hotel developments or shops. A car is useful to visit the islands beaches and ancient landmarks. Aegina needs more tourists, but only those that want to experience Greece.

Perfect if you don’t want chaos.
Perfect if you don’t want chaos. It has 10 restaurants and 2 bakeries. What else do you need.
The water is the best water I’ve swam in in my lifetime. There is a ferry from the cove only 1 per day on Hellenic seaways.11:20 departure.
It will save you $25 cab ride to the port side of the island.

The Marina is a nice haven in which to stay, everything is to hand and the beach is wonderfully long, ideal location to either take a walk to the little church (recommended) or just sit and soak up the Sun.
Restaurants are also plentiful and either on or close to the beach making for a great evenings relaxation with good food and a glass of wine.
Its family friendly as apart from the high street you're out of the way of traffic, also the sea is shallow and warm making it safe for a wide age range.

Amazing! Would definitely recommend it.
Amazing! Would definitely recommend it. Beautiful room and garden. Close to the beach and bars. Also great for families. We ate to a really beautiful place close the the hotel. Bus stop also near. Easy to get around Agia Marina by foot. The only disadvantage is that the bus stops early in the day and you can't go to the city later if you want.

We had a wonderful time staying at Ilida Athens! Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end, and honestly don’t know what else to say.
Perfectly suited rooms, kitchen, bed, and shower were all in good condition. The AC saved us from the heat, as well. The views are stunning, and the general vibe is so calm and peaceful you want it to last forever.
Huge thanks to Odysseus, and his team. What wonderful people work there. So friendly and eager to help.
We will gladly stay there again when on Aegina. Huge recommend, 10/10!
Since it was a 2 star hotel we were a bit sceptical at first, but we couldn't imagine we'd have such a great stay there! When you get there, sure, it seems a little outdated in a glance but we were positively surprised at how spotless the place is, our room was definitely renovated, clean and cozy and the breakfast was exceptional! The feeling we had the whole time was that this place was too good to be true for the money we spent - but it was! Kudos to the owners and the stuff, they were all so helpful and brightened our mood!
Very well located: 200 m to the beach and 50 m to the main street, still quite. Friendly and disponible personal. Cozy appartment despite little space and no view. Large balcony. Climatisation ok. Neighbourhood: good atmosphere on the beach bars and restorants on the beach ( we tried these ones only). Surroundings: we made an evening walk (high t°) to the Aphaia temple - closed by that h but great view. Other locations reacheable by scooter (20-30e/day), e bike (25), taxi (20-40/ round trip): St Nektarios Monastery, Aegina
The host Giota was exceptional, trying her best to cater for my needs. She was letting me to choose the room out of 2, ordering taxis, making calls, providing the breakfast pack as i had to catch the early ferry on the last day of stay. The room was very good, the bed was reasonable size, superking, and exceptional quality mattress. The hotel is a family business and has it homey touch, well presented and looked after property. Was very pleased with my choice of stay there.
Excellent staff, very accomodating, especially Mr. Kostas, breakfast is simple but tasty, they also have cooked food the first time because we were in this accomodation for 5 time, - this year there was a pizza, so as soon as you arrive you can order it to be made fast, so you don' t have to look for restaurant when you are tired and hungry from the journey-, nice room with a nice big terrace, nice and clean pool, peace and quiet in the hotel.
Everything was wonderful! Located just off the main street in Agia Marina, you will find a hidden gem in Angela Hotel. The owner and staff go out of their way to assist and accommodate you. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable,(In my experience, comfy beds are a unicorn in Greece.) and the breakfast is great. A short walk to the beach or town for shopping and restaurants. A beautiful stay! Thanks so much for a great stay!!!!
It was very nice to wake up with birds singing and enjoy the sun on the balcony. I also have to mention the bed, it is very comfortable. It was end of season, so the hotel was quiet.
The host was very helpful and got us a rental car on the island and very cheap taxi to Athens Airport. Thank you very much for your help and tips. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
We loved our stay and look forward to returning g for another Holiday. Our host was the best and always there to answer questions and help with anything we needed. He even loaned me 100 euros when I needed cash and got us a car rental that cam right to hotel. We loved Hotel Rachel and wish them best of luck and hope to be back soon.
We returned to Isidora Hotel for the second time, so we knew what can we expect. Excellent location, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, great host. The location of the property is great, few minutes from the beach, bus stop, restaurants. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to stay, I can absolutely recommend it.
The location is very good : few stops from the bus stop that takes makes Aegina <--> Agia Marina, 3 minutes sliw walk to the beach, very closr to a grocery , restaurents and shops
Calm and clean hotel
Good continental breakfast served in a terrace with a lovely sea view
Wifi works in the room
Monica is the best host someone can find in Aegina island! Adorable and willing to offer the best services in order to make your stay unforgettable! As for the hotel itself it is in a very convenient location, close to taverns and supermarket, and near the beach too.
For two stars hotel is more than ok. Very friendly owners trying to do their best for their guests to feel like home. Clean room. Very good location, a minute to walk to the bus stop and five minutes to the harbour. The amazing beach is also a few minutes to walk.
First off- this is a true Beach hotel on a delightful island . Picture Hemingway in Key West in the 1940’s. Laid back friendly people. Svetlana is an amazing hostess. Willing to accommodate. Right on the beach, 2 minute walk to the old town.
I booked 2 rooms to go with my mum and 2 aunts. I never managed but they really had a lovely time, covid safety, very clean room, friendly and very welcome staff. The hotel is located walking distance from everything but still very quiet.
The location, the price, the style of the hotel were all brilliant. I loved how Greek the place feels, and the staff were lovely. We had a great stay at an amazing price!
