We were greeted when we arrived in a very friendly way and learned a bit about the family and the house. There was coffee and a kettle and a sandwich maker and fridge provided and a little patio which was great. Also it was very close to centre, and the decoration and style of housing and furniture (brick and thick walls) was great. Also, the next day, we were able to keep our luggage in the room until our ferry came in the evening as there was no booking the next day.

The location is great, only a couple of minutes’ walk from the port but still very quiet and private. The living room of the apartment was really pretty and comfortable, it would be great for a long stay, and the outside courtyard was also a great place to relax. The instructions for finding the house at night were easy, and the owner was helpful when I contacted her.

I have stayed in many places and have never had a better host than Katerina. She far exceeded usual expectations in looking after us, changing the towels regularly and checking every day to see that everything was okay. The location was absolutely ideal, right next to a charming Orthodox church in the centre of the town. We were renting part of what used to be her family home and it was blessed with an authentic historical character that is hard to find, along with excellent facilities. The bells ringing on Sunday morning were no problem for us - they were enchanting. We walked all the way up to the Monastery in Chora several times and were delighted with the whole experience.

This place was by far the best place we stayed for vacations, from all aspects. There was nothing to ask for, as the house, was over equiped Th elocation was perfect, we didn't use the car unless we wanted to vist Chora. Katerina was avilable while our staying for contact and questions. We will be back to spend more days and time and of course enjoy patmos while summertime.
