Kakovatos is a charming small village that sits right on a great sandy beach with crystal clear waters. It is tucked away from touristy areas and offers family-oriented vacation experience. Local taverns are the best and offer traditional Greek dishes and fresh fish daily. Neda falls are a one-hour drive and are worth the hike, and ancient Olympia is only 20-30 minutes away by car.

Kakovatos is paradise on earth.
Kakovatos is paradise on earth. It is part of the biggest sandy beach in Greece (about 60 km long) and combines the mediterranean green (pine trees and thyme bushes on top of the wide sandy beach) with the fine golden sand and the light blue clear waters. It is kept unspoilt (no buildings around, absolutely no noise etc) and it is the ideal place to see and feel nature at its purest. Ideal for families with little childen since the sea isn't very deep. It is quite close to ancient Olympia and Neda Waterfalls, both of which are a must-see.
