3 nights max is perfect for Nafplio during the winter season. The city is beautiful, the Venesian forst was fabulous and the food is good. The only issue I have with the city is the terrible smell, air quality that seems to start around 5pm and continues until about 8 pm.

A great place with lots of history and plenty of places to eat. Very quaint in the old town and as the tourist season runs throughout the year, it was still having things open during December.
The castle’s are well worth a visit and the shops in the old towns are very much craft related.
It’s not expensive to eat out and it’s well worth a visit but it’s not a very big town so about 3 days would be enough. If you stayed longer, it would be as a base to explore all the old heritage sites located within a hours drive. Definitely get a hire car as no train comes out this far. We flew in to Athens which is a 2 hour drive on the motorway.

Worthwhile to visit. Great little find in Greece.
Worthwhile to visit. Great little find in Greece. Fly to Athens, catch a train as far as Corinth. We then got a taxi as it was late but on researching, better getting a bus from the airport to Nafplio. A third of the price and very convenient. We got a bus back from Nafplio. Sounds a faff but it wasn’t and very comfortable bus journey with helpful driver. Def worth the effort to get to there to visit . Walked up to Palmedi fortress. Wow! The views were stunning. Got the boat over to the other fortress - nice trip. Took the little road train too - only 20 minutes and helps get bearings round the town. Loads of walking. Loads of pubs and restaurants and shops. Food was all fresh and amazing fish served too.

Nafplio is a picturesque costal city in the south of Peloponnese full of history and culture, with the historic centre beautifully preserved. One can enjoy the various restaurants and coffee shops, visit Palamidi castle or Burtzi, or the museum and nearby sights. There is also a lovely beach if you wish to swim or sunbathe. Try the local food, is really good! And the local wine or beer as well. The lovely ancient theatre of Epidaurus is just a half an hour drive away, really worth visiting the old town of Epidaurus as well.

Such a beautiful place steeped in history with 2 castles a lovely beach and incredible food! Gorgeous town with a hustle and bustle for life, fun and adventure. The boats by the port are also lovely!!
Will be back for sure!!
The staff was by far the best part of the hotel. They took COVID precautions seriously, had excellent recommendations from sightseeing to restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was hearty and the coffee excellent. The hotel is on a small but surprisingly busy side road in Nea Kios. It was a short 10 minute ride into Nafplio and within 20-45 minutes of all major attractions in the region. Not as pretentious as Nafplio can be. Parking was on the side of the road next to the hotel. Convenient and safe during our trip.
We spent four days at the Perivoli hotel. we are a couple, looking for some quiet place and cultural activities. The hotel is a really nice place for that, as there are just 15 rooms or so, and the ruins of Ancient Greece a few kilometers away.
the staff was quite nice and helpful, always available and they did everything they could to serve gluten free dishes as I have a celiac problem. the food was really good, with ingredients of very good quality.
to sum up : I wish I could stay a few more days.
Perfect location, the nicest lady hotelier imaginable, the distant view over the rooftops. The hotel is in the very heart of the Old Town, among charming streets full of restaurants, within a few minutes walk from the waterfront and a slightly longer walk from Arvaniti beach. Every time we were greeted with a beautiful smile by the lady hotelier and had a friendly conversation with her. Considering the price of the room, this is a very attractive accommodation in this amazing town.
Aetoma has character and soul. Located in the prettiest square in the Old Town, run by a dedicated family with a lot of heart and love, it is a perfect place to stay in and discover Napflio.. and you can start your day with a hearty breakfast - probably one of the best in Greece - prepared by the wonderful landlady who was born in the mansion. Akis, the young generation of the family managing the hotel leaves no question unanswered in a most friendly and professional way.
We frequently visit Nafplio and most of the time we stay at this boutique hotel. It is located right in the heart of the old town, on the main road that leads to the port. The suite is spacious and has a touch of modern and elegant design. The bed is super comfortable. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, which is owned by the hoteliers. By the way, this restaurant is one of the best in Nafplio and i suggest you try it.
This was one of my best stays in Greece. Except Nafplio, which is an amazing city, I will always remember this apartment. Beeeeeautiful, nice decorated, fully equipped, clean, comfy bed, perfect terrace for chill in the evening. The host was amazing who help us and explain everything. plenty of supermarkets and bakeries around. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Highly recommended, you will enjoy!
We stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed Nafplion. The hotel was tranquil with very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, breakfasts and sitting. We especially enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the streets below and sea shore a few blocks away. We loved listening to the Greek music and singing from the restaurant next door.
A lovely period hotel in a quiet street in the beautiful old town, close to the castle and beach. Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast with home made cakes and spanakopita, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The rooms had an attractive faded elegance. The bed was the most comfortable we had anywhere in Greece.
We were in room Mona Liza, I'll just list the goods: Central location. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Heavenly bed. beautiful interior lighting and design. Friendly and helpful staffs. One of the only place we stayed in Greece with proper hair dryer. Delicious breakfasts. Easy free parking at the port.
Excellent choice for a one night stay in Nafplion. Great location. We appreciated the suggestion offered by the staff at the reception to take the Nafplia Palace Hotel lift (at the end of the little street) to go up to the Clock Tower to watch thesunset above the sunset over the city. Fabulous.
A quick text and we were met within a couple of minutes on arrival at the property. The area is quiet but plenty of shops very nearby and a shortish walk to the old part of Nafplion. Lovely big bed, easy to park and would stay again if I go back to that part of Greece again.
It's a good place to stay at if you travel through Greece for 1-2 days. Its located near the road so its a bit noisy. The sea is not suitable for swimming. The beach is dirty and basic. The hotel is pretty old but clean. Breakfasts are Okay but no Greek food at all.
The hotel has a nice garden. As soon as we arrived the hotel, the staff ran to our car to greet us. And the hotel provided greeting gifts to us - a bottle of wine and Greek sweets. It’s close to Nafplio with a few minutes drive. The room is nice and clean.
It was well located in the center of Nafplion.
The hosts were really kind and available.
The room was clean and beautiful.
The breakfast was amazing ! It was the best one we had in Greece !
Everything was great, I can only recommend it.
Basic from A to Z. Dated hotel which "tries" to present itself as boutique hotel but its still far from being one. Staff of ok, breakfast was ok. Overall a mediocre hotel at a convenient location for visiting the city of Nafplion.
Unbeatable location in Nafplion. The staff was very nice and helpful. This was one of our favorite hotels for our trip to Greece. The rooms were very nice and the bed was large.
great location, easy parking, clean, best bed we slept on in Greece, welcome pastry and water, milk, bread in the fridge was so thoughtful. great communication
