When I visited Thira (Santorini) last year, I fell in love with the less crowded parts. So, determined to come back and stay in a quieter part, I booked Acrothea Suites and Villas in Akrotiri. It is typical Kikladhic architecture, very, very close to the center of town, near to Red Beach, and an amazing breakfast brought to your room every morning. They are generous as they are kind. Also, the rooms facing the caldera are tops. Note: they face the caldera; they are not on the caldera like all the famous Instagram photos. Extremely great value.

We enjoyed our stay at Acrothea. The breakfast was great. A great selection of food! They even ask you if you want any additional items for breakfast. Breakfast is served after 8, but we had to take an early trip to Paros. They offered us early breakfast upon request, which was very kind. Lediana went above and beyond with helping us plan our trip. She was very patient and helpful in helping us make car rental reservations and in planning our stay in Santorini. She is an amazing resource and very friendly. The housekeeper cleaned the room really well and was very meticulous. Thank you for an amazing stay! The drive from the accommodation to any of the main areas on the island is very simple and straight forward. We found that very useful (especially since we didn’t have access to Google Maps during our time on the island). We had the caldera view room, it was an amazing view to have breakfast in front!

This property is run by a family who stays at the back of the hotel. Very friendly and good facilities. Breakfast is good. Must try the Mistelli restarant just outside the property. Behind the property they have their own garden with various fruits and vegetables.

The concierge was at the reception door to welcome us when the driver dropped us off at Acrothea and she showed us to our apartment. The rooms were very clean and neat, and the apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a very large bottle of cold water in the refrigerator. We always had plenty of towels (there were 5 of us), the rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was delivered every morning, rain or shine, and was always delicious and plentiful! The concierge was very helpful in scheduling transportation for us as well and answered any questions we had about Santorini. She is amazing! We had a wonderful stay!

They helped me with transportation from the port when the ferry arrived. And they also helped secure transportation to the airport for an early morning flight. They even gave a recommendation for a car rental on the island. Loved the pool and the view of the ocean from the pool. The apartment had a kitchenette and living space separate from the bedroom. Spacious and clean. Loved it.
