Awarded 'Best Self Catering Property of the Year' in the 2018 Cheshire Tourism Awards and finalist in 2022. The Cottage is on a small quiet farm in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We are just a ten minute drive from Chester. Renovated and refurbished in a comfortable modern country style, the cottage has a private porch entrance and large private garden. Comfortable beds await you along with stylish accessories with a touch of luxury. The Cottage is suitable for all: families, couples and friends. We are surrounded by great pubs, castles, gardens and activities for all ages. We are just a short drive from Chester Zoo and The Sandstone Trail and also the City of Chester. We are dog friendly, however as we are situated on a farm we do have a dog policy in place that guests are asked to agree to at booking. Please let us know you intention to bring your four legged friend. Charges apply and payment will be requested pre stay. We do not allow puppies in our cottages and dogs must be crate trained to stay and are never allowed on furniture. We have some super walks from the door and across our own land plus some great dog friendly pubs in the area.
Our farm is just a couple of minutes away from our local village Tattenhall and the chic village of Tarporley is only a ten minute drive away. We have a small flock of rare breed sheep as our pets and guests are welcome to visit them. We are nearly always about on the farm and very happy to help with your stay... whether that be restaurant or activity recommendations or taking in your online food shopping pre arrival. The fridge will always have a bottle of Cheshire milk and free range eggs ready for your arrival and more can be purchased on the farm. We are a sociable, respectful and approachable family and hope we can make your stay here great.
There is an abudance of activities in this area. Being only a ten minute drive from Chester and close to the Shropshire and Welsh borders we are perfectly situated to make the most of the area. Beeston, Peckforton and Cholmondeley castles plus the Sandstone Trail all under ten minutes drive away. Bolesworth Castle only 2.5 miles away (home of Carfest and Bolesworth International Horse show). Oulton Park is a 15 minutes drive. It's only a short walk to the famous Ice Cream farm (the biggest ice cream parlour in Europe). We have many fabulous gastro/ award winning pubs and restaurants all within a ten minute drive and we're always happy to recommend. Great shopping opportunities can be found at the walled Roman city of Chester and McArthur Glen Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet along with the cosmopolitan village of Tarporley. Chester Zoo and Delamere Forest are only ten miles away and The Sandstone Trail is accessed from many different places in the vicinity.
