Yarningale is situated 2 miles (3 kilometres) outside the rural moorland town of Moretonhampstead. We are a 1935 dormer bungalow, which overlooks the whole of Eastern Dartmoor; at the end of a no through lane resulting in a quiet peaceful location, secluded but not remote. We have two rooms, - each with a double and single bed allowing for flexible requirements, as either a twin/double/or family. Each room has its own bathroom, please note there are no showers. Bikers very welcome, with safe secure parking on concrete surface. Ideal centrally situated location to explore Devon on a motorbike Cooked breakfast a speciality ! There is a fully equipped kitchen for guest use, and breakfast is served in the conservatory overlooking the whole of Dartmoor. One guest described it as " the best restaurant view she had ever had" . She was 76 years old
Golf, swimming, and horse riding, are all available locally. Both the North & South Devon coasts are only about an hours drive. The area has some beautiful villages and hamlets, selling locally quality produce, and exceptional places to eat. Dartmoor is a scenic area for walking, we are able to provide information on numerous walks, according to distance and ability. There is 500 acres of moorland within a ten minute walk of the house, which has some amazing history, and the largest stone circle on Dartmoor.We can also put you in touch with a local fishing tutor, who is able to guide you through various types of fishing albeit, in local reservoir, lake river or sea.
