Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Positioned overlooking the rive Bure, this quaint cottage offers a cosy retreat to relax and unwind, in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside. Willow Cottage is located in Drabblegate, on the northern outskirts of the attractive town of Aylsham and a short drive from the coastal towns of Cromer & Sheringham. An ideal location for nature-lovers, mid way between the internationally-famous Hickling Broad & Cley Marshes NNRs.

Drabblegate is a quiet backwater, but the centre of Aylsham with its shops, cafes pubs and restaurants is within walking distance (about 15 minutes). The town square is National Trust, so its appearance has little changed for a hundred years. The cottage is on a footpath, which is part of several circular short walks. It is a couple of minutes away from the Weaver's Way long distance footpath, whilst another, the Marriot's Way passes though the southern part of Aylsham. The country roads surrounding the property are ideal for cycling, exploring neighbouring villages with their pubs, as well as Blickling Hall, the spectacular National Trust property. The river Bure is available for canoeing or kayaking about a kilometre upstream and downstream, with launch from the bank opposite. More extensive canoeing is possible further downstream from Buxton and Coltishall. There is a weekly waste bin collection every Wednesday (unless it is a bank holiday, then it is usually a Thursday). Please ensure that the bin is accessible so it can be emptied.
