Riverside Guest House, hotel in Sleaford

Set within 22 km of Somerton Castle and 30 km of Lincoln Medieval Bishops' Palace in Sleaford, Riverside Guest House features accommodation with seating area.

The room was very good, all I could have wanted for a 4-day stay, although a small fridge would have been a bonus. The location close to the town centre, whilst not actually in it, was ideal.

    Lovely little place. Facilities good.

Lovely little place. Facilities good. Plenty of little shops and pubs and cafes. Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special. Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby. We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

The property is not in Sleaford itself.

The property is not in Sleaford itself. It’s in a village called Ewerby. The hotel has lots of history which is detailed in a book in the room. There are also many photos scattered around showing how it used to look. Ewerby is a lovely quiet village with a church, a pub and some pretty houses. It was nice for a short stroll. Sleaford itself is a short drive away along country lanes. Sleaford is a much bigger town with a high street packed with shops. There was a nice river there and you could stroll along the banks viewing all the wildlife.

there are some lovely old buildings and at least 2 churches (which we did not go into). We very much enjoyed a walk along the River Slea and ended up at a water mill which was sadly closed. we were quite saddened that a lack of town planning from years ago meant that some rather ugly buildings spoiled the look of some beautiful old buildings. we particularly liked The Alms Houses. We ate in the hotel twice and found the food to be delicious. The Sunday roast was particularly tender

Watergate Yard was incredible! Quirky, unique and one of a kind, when I booked I didn't realise I'd booked such an unusual hotel but it was absolutely amazing. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we'd ever had in a hotel, we slept soundly and woke pain free - we were in room 3. The room and en-suite was spotlessly clean, and I love a hotel that has a mini fridge with fresh milk in for my morning coffee. Breakfast was delicious and staff overall were helpful, friendly and we'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Mallards was an excellent B&B hotel. Service was exceptional, the owners Clare and Jim made us feel like family. The breakfast was amazing, the best full English breakfast I've had, and I've had plenty!! The room was super clean, bed very comfy, and easy to get to. Parking out back was very convenient next to the entrance. Just a lovely place to stay in. Would highly recommend, and would definitely go back again. Super value for money!!!

Lovely woman who did breakfasts and booked me in. Bed was comfy, room plenty big enough. Breakfast was very nice, and they handled all my dietary requirements perfectly - so good! 1 hour free parking in the car park was helfpul, and the staff were always helpful gettijg tickets to put in the car. Car patk had plenty of space right behind the b+b, so it wasn't like leaving your car in an open car park. Very helpful, pleasant and comfy.

Nice and clean. I liked the thick carpet and there was a box to put shoes so that we could keep the carpet clean. There was a tall mirror and a chest of drawer in the room which were useful. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful, too. I also like the lively atmosphere in the beer garden and nice breakfast room.

Wide range of cereal and fruit available, plenty of snacks, tea and coffee and infused drinks in room, more than you could expect. Better than some 5star hotels. I would highly recommend and if needed will certainly stay again.
