My spacious peaceful house is on the site of the former Winford Orthopaedic Hospital. In a lovely rural location (own car/transport essential), your bedroom benefits from glorious countryside views to the rear. We are 25 mins (7 miles) from the centre of Bristol and 5 minutes from the airport - acoustic glass replacement windows reduces aircraft noise. Sorry we cannot accept babies or children. Your large light & airy en suite double bedroom is to the rear of our house. It has a comfy 5' bed with a thick mattress topper & 100% cotton bed linen. This, plus the black out roller blinds ensures a great night's sleep. The bedroom window overlooks the garden and across fields with cows and wildlife. The room has a TV/DVD, WiFi, tea /coffee facilities. Its large en suite shower room has a double power shower plus a sink, bidet and wc. You'll find a hairdryer and convenient power points for recharging your phone. Please just ask if there's anything else you need. Despite being modern, we've managed to inject a bit of personality into the place, and I hope there's everything here to make you comfortable. If you're flying out from Bristol Airport, parking is an additional charge subject to availability. Parking is freee for the night(s) you stay!

I'm really excited to be welcoming guests to my home, handily situated for the airport and for breaking a long journey down to the West Country. Alternatively, you can base yourself here to enjoy our walks and countryside, and explore Bristol, Bath, Wells and Cheddar. We have two friendly cats - Buttons and Pebbles, both restricted to downstairs. Apart from sharing our front door, you can have as much privacy as you like. Please note we cannot accommodate children or babies and also that you need some form of transport as we are very remote! If you want to know more, just ask. :)

We're in a very quiet area above Winford Village. We are close to the airport, so there IS aircraft noise but few aircraft during the night. The new acoustic windows we have had installed are marvellous and dramatically reduce noise. A few metres from our front door, a footpath leads down to our friendly village with its pub & post office/shop. A 10 minute walk (2 minutes by car) takes you to 'The Prince of Waterloo' offering good meals and we can recommend some really special places to eat nearby. There are a further 3 pubs in Chew Magna, 8 minutes' drive away. We are ideally suited to people on their way to/from Bristol airport & for people visiting Bristol, Bath & the South West for both leisure or business. If you're visiting for leisure, we're in tranquil rural spot, close to Chew Valley Lakes & the Mendip Hills AONB. Amongst picturesque, unspoilt countryside, we're ideally placed for enjoying countryside walks, cycling & lovely scenery. Venture to the vibrant cities of Bristol & Bath or take a trip to attractive Wells, The UK’s smallest city, with its stunning cathedral. Marvel at the spectacular Cheddar Gorge & Wookey Hole, or try your hand at fly fishing or golf!
