I only use Bridgend as a stopover as I could not find reasonably priced room in Cardiff that was in a safe area for a woman travelling alone. There was a big football match and concert on in Cardiff that Tuesday night and that is why I booked further afield as there was very little choice in my price range available.

Old Manor House with an old-fashioned touch, a bit out of times but comfortable, clean and with refurbished bath rooms.
We we arrived there was a school graduation party we had not been made aware of. Fortunately it finished at 10 pm, so did not bother us in the end.
Very good Indian restaurant. Very good breakfast.

I can only comment on Days Inn (where we stayed) as we were visiting family and didn't spend any time in Bridgend. The location was quiet, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. The bed was very good quality and we had a good night's sleep. The only downside was that there was nowhere nearby to have breakfast.
Very friendly staff, absolutely fabulous breakfast, proper English/Welsh breakfast. Great location, beautiful grounds and Georgian manor house. Good value for money - certainly beats staying at Premier inn or travel lodge and its cheaper than the former and significantly better than both those options. The Restaurant attached to the hotel was a Curry House and it was good, food cooked in sight of guests and food can be adapted to order.
We loved the size and the way the property was furnished. It is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Overall it’s an excellent home away from home.
The beds were very comfortable (which isn’t often the case in Air BnB type places).
The outside space a lovely place to relax in and the location for seeing lots of South Wales was perfect.
We loved the breakfast basket provided upon arrival.
There is so much to see in the hotel itself. A fantastic building with architectural oddities all over the place. Staff were tremendous and the rooms were very well presented with a nice mix of traditional and modern decor. I'd imagine the garden would be lovely on a sunny evening (which we didnt get..)
Breakfast was good and the staff serving it was happy to deal with any requests.
Lovely little cottage near Bridgend. The property is wonderfully finished to a really good specification. Had a warm, cosy feel about the property with internal stonework, log fire and ceiling beams. We booked for Easter weekend and arrived to Easter cakes which was a nice touch by the host. We would 100% recommend the property, and will certainly be returning in the future.
The hotel is very welcoming and has a lovely outdoor area. It is a beautiful character building and very comfortable. During our stay the staff were so friendly and super helpful. The room was clean and had a very comfortable bed, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We would definitely return if we needed to stay in the area again.
I am working in Bridgend, stayed for the week, the room was lovely, very clean, comfortable night. This is more hotel than guest house.
Howard and the team made me feel very welcome, the breakfast was delicious- there is a menu for cooked breakfast - absolutely wonderful, I definitely recommend and will return again and again!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to change to a double room due to a booking error but was fine for us. Lady in reception was very helpful when asking about local area and made us feel welcome immediately. Room was very clean, and fit our expectations. Outlets nearby also a plus.
Howard is an outstanding host, always charming, friendly, with nothing too much trouble. The room was great; large, huge bed, lovely bathroom. Great breakfast and an excellent location for the area. Couldn't have been better and we could have happily stayed much longer.
Everything about this hotel is fantastic the owner is lovely he can't do enough for you ,he's welcoming shows you to your room shows how Everything works ,breakfast is amazing, this is second time we stayed here and will always use this hotel when coming to bridgend
Staff were fantastic. Especially the two girls on reception.
Perks, we liked that the doors were open 24hours so we could head back drunk and have chinese before bed.
We used this hotel for the wrestling as Cardiff was £1000 which was far too much
Great place to stay very clean and well decorated with attention to detail, kitchen was well equipped with a lovely welcome hamper, great location train station and super market and town center close by.good to see a variety of games to play.
Was like home from home very friendly staff being a business traveller was nice to have that. Only found this place due to hotel over booking typical for corporate business. This will be my go to for this location.
Guest House was very clean with good instructions, parking at rear a plus. Served our purpose as is within 15 min walk through town centre to Brewery Field Stadium. Very good breakfast in the morning ✅
It was clean/tidy and at decent price I knew the area anyway Just car parking an issue re hotel in pedistrian sector but i found somewhere safe close by Had decent nights sleep and handy re breakfast
Located on the outskirts of Bridgend the property is well located for sightseeing in the coastal area of Glamorgan. A continental style breakfast was provided in the room.
