My recent stay at the Luton Hoo Hotel was nothing short of a monumental disappointment. Upon arrival, the hotel, which might have been the epitome of grandeur a century ago, now presents a stark contrast with its dilapidated and outdated facade. The once majestic hotel now stands as a shadow of its former self, with its charm obscured by neglect.
The rooms, far from the main building, felt like they were hastily arranged in a semi-permanent, bleak cell block. The ten-minute walk, or a five-minute drive, to these quarters further accentuated the feeling of being exiled from the supposed luxury.
While the room service was passable and the staff exhibited basic courtesy, these were the only silver linings in an otherwise dreary experience. But let's be clear, the niceness of the staff could hardly compensate for the overall state of disrepair.
The cost, inexplicably high for such substandard accommodation, only added insult to injury. If you're in search of a comfortable stay or a convenient airport hotel, take my advice and steer clear of this establishment.
An additional grievance was the taxi service arranged by the hotel for an airport transfer. Not only did the short trip cost an exorbitant £25, but the taxi itself was in a deplorable condition – old, cold, and riddled with mould. The driver's insistence on a cash payment, citing a conveniently non-functional card machine, was the epitome of unprofessionalism and left me feeling utterly scammed.
Finally, the administrative inefficiency in providing an invoice for my stay was the last straw. It took an entire month and numerous frustrating attempts to obtain a simple bill. This inefficiency, coupled with the overall experience, leaves a lingering suspicion of something not being quite right with the hotel's management.
In summary, my stay at the Luton Hoo Hotel was a series of disappointments and frustrations, compounded by a feeling of being overcharged and underserved.

It is absolutely crap.
It is absolutely crap. I arrived there at around 12.30 pm, to be told that the room I had pre-booked through booking.com was not available!
According to the reception staff the hotel's computer had overbooked the rooms. Not good for a single woman arriving at the hotel after a long flight to Luton to find that the room I expected had been used for someone else. It was extremely inconvenient and upsetting, I was very tired. I will never book a Holiday Inn hotel again or use booking.com.

Airport was under construction and our driver was not able...
Airport was under construction and our driver was not able to drive up to the terminal so we had to walk 15-20 minutes to meet him at the long term parking lot. Buses were running 24/7, but did not seem to know about the bus stop right outside of our hotel for pickup or drop off. Security had me do the 360 scanner with several others despite having nothing in my pockets. An agent told me to keep my watch on and that was the only thing that could have set off the sensor. Another agent told others not to lean on the wall / initial sensor as it gives a false positive. Probably why so many of us were tagged for the additional screening. Not sure if the lady was an employee of EasyJet or Luton, but a rude lady was trying to get us to pay for our carry-ons to put in the overhead bins. We had no issues with putting our bags under our seats on the flight to Luton or on the return flight, but was told repeatedly we would need to pay for 3 of our 5 bags. We demonstrated repeatedly that they fit. Also not sure if it was EasyJet or Luton, but our 6:05am flight did not depart the terminal until 6:20am and after several stop, wait, go's along the way finally finished taxiing and was in the air at 7:16am.

Would’ve liked the airport, shuttle bus to stop outside the hotel as my wife is disabled. Unfortunately we had to walk quite a distance to the bus stop

There is only single and big problem, at Luton airport nobody knows where can I have bus ticket, even the guys living in Luton said they don't know. I spent half an hour to ask ( even checking the automat machines) and learn for having the bus ticket. After asking tens of people I learnt that you have it in the bus by credit card. How come no body knows and how come there is no information at any where.

I was visiting London, not Luton, so I took the Dart and then the train to Kings Cross. This is extremely easy to do, even for those unfamiliar with travel. On the return journey, the shops at the airport were excellent, service was friendly and efficient. Staying in the Courtyard Marriott before the morning return journey was a good idea, strongly recommend it
Now l know the closeness to LUTON main rly station, l shall always book Thistle Express when l fly into or out of Luton AirPort. This hotel is so central to all the banks and is only a few steps to THE MALL shopping precinct. ( as advertised, the included breakfast is really excellent - and one is “heartbroken” when missing it, to go on an EARLY flight ! ! )

During my recent stay at the Luton Airport hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The standout feature was undoubtedly the exceptional customer service. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout the duration of my visit. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist truly made a positive impact.
Nice, clean room in hotel halfway between the airport and Luton town. Excellent location next to airport train shuttle. On site bar and restaurant means you can eat there rather than go into dreary Luton town, which I mistakenly did. Friendly staff, who also gave us a pre prepared breakfast to take with us as we had an early flight. Good value for money.
The room was beautiful and staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is perfectly located if you are planning a trip to or from Luton airport as it is just a few minutes walk from the station. The hotel acts as a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Luton town centre. It's independently run, clean, spacious and full of character.
Great value for money if you want somewhere close to London if not in it, especially for driving. Luton Airport Parkway station is fairly close (about 2 miles) and it was cheaper to get in and out of the capital than somewhere closer like Slough. There are some small shops just round the corner too should you want anything to eat or drink.
Very basic which is reflected in the price. Excellent location for walking to the airport early in the morning. You could buy coffee and food downstairs. Check-in and out simple. Fine if all you want to do is sleep. Cheapest hotel so close to the airport.
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Luton Airport and for its relatively cheap price and it was perfect for that. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is exceptional with freshly cooked Italian food - highly recommended.
Myself and my mam really enjoed the location, the room and the breakfast, will book this hotel from now on when going over to london. airport is about 10min walk and the train Luton Parkway is about 10min the other direction (walk)
Cheap and in great location.
Not so far from the airport - you can go to the bus station in case you don't have big suitcases, take one bus 10 min and you are in the airport.
Close to Luton center so shops and supermarkets nearby.
Nice and cheap hotel for overnight stay if you have early morning flight from Luton airport. 2 minute walk from Luton rail station. Room was small, but ok. Recepcionist was very nice and polite. Recomended for short stay.
Comfortable, modern hotel. Bus stop to the airport, the station and city centre right outside the hotel, only a few minutes to each one. Quick easy check-in. Better quality than other hotels nearby and no more expensive.
Doesn’t feel like your in luton, when inside the hotel. If you have heard any stigma about luton being a run down town, still consider staying here as it’s not anything like the town Centre.
I always stay in the Ibis when I need to stay overnight at the airport. It's clean, the best value for money of the Luton Airport hotels, has good sized rooms, and good amenities.
