We only had one night to visit the Royal Mint, which we really enjoyed.
We stayed and ate at The Countryman Bed and Breakfast which we really liked. Quiet, clean and comfortable.
Would have liked longer to visit the town and the surrounding areas.
Easy drive across the River Seven via M4 from Heathrow.

Lovely little shops and only 2 mins away from the Countryman Inn where we stayed. A lovely coffee shop on the hill, worth a visit ! Also visit the amazing coffee shop/ gift shop next to the Royal Mint selling wooden benches, furniture etc ...
What a charming place! hidden away from town, it was surrounded by fields, fishing lakes, and was so peaceful. Stayed here to visit Cardiff, which we took a taxi there and back for. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. Whilst waiting for the taxi we all enjoyed a drink in the bar by the fire. The rooms were warm, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was outstanding! one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long time, perfectly cooked and well presented.
Accommodation was perfect. I booked for 4 of our guys for a work visit and they were over the moon with the rooms and location. Trust me it is exceptionally hard to please my team of men and they are always quick to tell me when something is wrong so it was really nice of them to tell me the choice I made was perfect - thank you so much your hotel is now in my list of approved accommodations for the UK
The breakfast was was really good and very filling.
John and Martine went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
An easy walk into Beddau and Llantrisant.
I had a fantastic time at the Countryman and am sad to leave.
Wonderful location for a boutique hotel. The rooms a compact and functional, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are second to none!
