Everything was spotless. The room was beautiful, food delicious, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, especially Danny, Holly and Polly.
My son was running LEJOG, and The Mole was a lovely, relaxing place to unwind for the night. Unfortunately, as we had to keep moving, we were unable to take advantage of the leisure facilities, but we would love to return.

The new studio apartments at the rear of the property look great we had a room in the main house. We had a large old style room with 3 beds which was good for a family. The beds were comfy. Excellent cooked breakfast

The cosines, how relaxed and relaxing it is and the food.
Excellent Breakfast Selection . Slightly disappointed that at the Evening Meal the Menu was the same. My Wife loved the surrounding Garden.
i was taken ill on our first night - My Wife asked for help-very quick response by members of the Staff including the Joint Owner and a former Nurse taking me to the nearest Hospital and where I had excellent treatment . Many members of the Staff asked how I was getting on during the balance of our Staff. They could not have been more helpful and friendly.
Have already mentioned to friends what a marvellous facility there is at the Fox & Hounds at Eggesford.

Unspoilt pretty village with lots of history in architecture and only coat of arms to Charles 1 st . Good local store, newsagents and hairdresser amongst others. Ideally situated to explore central Devon whilst been accessible to the coast and Exeter. Good food to be had in local pubs at reasonable prices.
Very poor hotel, it’s not at all like the photos portray, breakfast was of a very poor quality with very little choice. Rooms are dated and small and not very clean. Completely not what I expected and feel the cost was far too high for the standard of the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend and unsure how this passes as a 3 star hotel.
Although we hadn’t brought our dogs on this trip, this is an exceptionally dog friendly hotel. Dogs are allowed everywhere. Dog towels, tennis balls and treats are provided in reception area.
I also loved the bookshelves with children’s books
Nice grounds
Excellent evening meal exceeded expectations
The location was great - easy walking distance to everything we needed in Chulmleigh, including the bakery, store and park.
The cottage was very cosy with a wood burner in the sitting room, and the small rear garden was a lovely place for a cup of tea in the sunshine.
The owner was extremely helpful.
The Dinner was fantastic as was the breakfast, the staff were an absolute pleasure and Tom the General Manager is a credit to the Hotel. Nothing was too much for him to ensure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. We will definitely be going back again.
Great little cottage in a good spot if you are looking to get out and about in North Devon. The Host was very helpful and easily contactable and the house was spotless which is always a worry when you have a huge dog like i do.!
Friendly welcome, pleasant and efficient staff. Room was great with a 4 poster, good wi-fi and lovely bathroom. Food was very good - we had a evening meal and breakfast at the hotel, both were very nice.
Room and breakfast were fantastic - stunning area around the hotel to explore too and the staff were really helpful and made sure our group were able to return to the hotel after reception had shut
Food is always good here and the restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive.
Good selection of beers on offer.
Room 23 is a really nice contemporary room in a quiet bit of the hotel
The staff was excellent, very kind and attentive. The hotel is beautiful and extremely dog friendly (which was important for us). My only note would be to have a vegan option for breakfast
Great communication, we arrived late but made a plan with reception before hand.
Hotel was quiet so room upgraded which was a nice suprise.
Dog friendly, nice dog walk and good breakfast.
Lots of grounds surrounding the hotel to explore, nice rooms, excellent food. Walking distance from Eggesford Station and good onsite parking. A short drive to Waterbridge Golf Club.
