I loved my massive room in the extended part of the building. It was very well presented and clean and felt of high quality. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and I slept right through the night. It was great to be able to open the window to ventilate and also the option of the blackout curtains. The shower had fantastic pressure and temperature, with the key thing being the shower head comes off so you feel actually properly clean.
I was booked in for both dinner and breakfast, both of which were excellent. There was plenty of choice and I had a lovely mixture of meat breakfast items and fruit/yoghurt. The beef for dinner was fantastic. All staff I encountered were very mannerly, friendly and helpful and I felt very welcome. I had a nice seat by the window where as a solo traveller I didn't feel intimidated.
I was staying for a flight early in the morning so I appreciated the little map with walking directions as I went the wrong way years ago trying to walk to the airport! The walk took me less than 10 minutes and is extremely convenient. I will continue to book this hotel whenever I have a flight to take.

The hosts, Marjorie and Tom, were delightful. They took extra care to make sure we had everything we needed including the best whisky choice and setting up our early a.m. cab ride to the airport. We weren't sure that the hotel was in the best location (safety-wise) on our drive in, but it turned out to be a convenient and safe location.
Marjorie was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. She had great suggestions for a place to pick up lunch and to visit the local abbey.
