The Bluebell, hotel in Market Deeping

The Bluebell features a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in Helpston.

Pleasantly surprised by this pub with rooms, having stayed in similar-looking pubs, similarly priced, that were only so-so. Comfortable, clean and thoughtfully kitted-out room. Very good dinner, chosen from an extensive menu. Breakfast also very good and service excellent. Quiet location but close to where we wanted to go, with good road links. Rooms appear to be all in separate single-storey buildings in the grounds of the pub itself.

The town is not large and shops are not plentiful but essentials are easy to find. The locals are a friendly bunch so you do not feel excluded. It is not a tourist hotspot so don't expect funfairs or amusement arcades but rather strolling through the town to view the older buildings or sitting / walking by the river. We found it very relaxing.

A very quaint little town with some nice buildings. There are not a great number of shops and you have to walk around to discover the little "ally ways" Sitting by the river early morning is very relaxing.

To Whom It May Concern, My wife and I were staying in the Stage 28th Dec 2012 left 10th January 2023. Wanted to let you know all of the staff were very professional and pleasant. The young lady who is a waitress in the restaurant her name is Suzie from Scotland was amazing we ate there a lot .Suzie was so helpful my wife got sick with a bad cold and Suzie took food up to her and brought her orange juice and anything she needed she said just let her know she went above and beyond and so appreciated her, she is definitely an asset to your business. Wanted you to know you have a great waitress working for you. We will be staying in the Stage again the next time we visit Market Deeping.... Regards Gregory Copeland

The town is small with a few interesting shops tucked away but not the place for a big shopping spree. It is an historic town with some interesting buildings, felt very "Cotswold Ish" with the light-coloured brickwork. The townsfolk we met were very friendly.

Market Deeping is a small market-town off the main roads system, so relatively quiet. The STAGE is centrally located so that is a good thing. Noise may be a problem at week-ends when traffic is heavier I imagine. However we were staying on a Thursday night so it was okay from that perspective, even though our room was at the front of the building. The main street has Eateries & coffee places on it near the Hotel itself, so you can pick & choose. All the staff we found were very helpful and pleasant, from the check-in to when we checked out the next day.

It is a very nice town has all the services you need. Plenty of take aways and very good fish and chip shop. Good walking and cycling in the area, easy rides to Peterborough and Louth. Our favourite pub was the Vine and we ate at the Stage. The steak and ale pie was very tasty. Very close to Helpston and John Clare's cottage.
