We had just arrived home from a fantastic 3 night stay here. Nicola and Harry are the most wonderful and charming hosts we’ve ever stayed with. It really is a home from home! The location and house are beyond stunning! The garden is beautiful and the rooms are spotless with beautiful decor, great facilities and large, comfortable beds. Breakfast is generous and delicious, with beautiful views overlooking the countryside. We loved the little touch of an evening tipple waiting for us when we had returned from our adventures and dinner! Thank you for the best visit, we very much look forward to returning!

I loved the vibe in this hotel. Very characteristic but also modern comforts. Lots of activity in the bars and restaurants. Very lively. Beautiful spacious room. Friendly people. Great location, we walked Pen y Fan, the guest house was just 30 mins from our car park. Kelvin and Mel were the most lovely hosts, with a wealth of local knowledge and stories! They went above and beyond with their service and the breakfast was better than most hotels. I highly recommend a visit. We ate in a lovely village nearby at the Bear pub

We stayed here as hubby was entering an ultra trail which started at Abergavenny so it wasnt too far away, otherwise Gilwern is a quiet but pleasant place. Also visited Hay the book town about 45 minutes away.

A quiet little village where everyone was so friendly. Not many shops but we didn’t go for the shopping. A great fish & chip shop with lovely ladies running the place. Quiet central to lots of other pretty villages. Gorgeous countryside.

    Great location.

Great location. Quiet sleepy village scene but within reach of everything needed within a 15 minute car journey. Was alot of roadworks on my trip but didn't spoil the experience. There are some fantastic views to be seen and photos to take.
