Room 12A felt a bit of a dungeon - we had a sort of window - and I was worried that I might break my nose if I got up from the bed during the night as the wall was so close! Great bathroom, though.
Loved the downstairs wooden-pannelled ambience, however.
Have stayed with you before, but enjoyed better rooms.

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers en suite bedrooms and TVs.
