The local people helpful and friendly. We liked the art deco styling of The Peter Cushing pub and the drinks were the cheapest in Whitstable.
Interesting to read about the actor who used to live in one of the characterful houses on the seafront.

Whitstable is lovely although the hotel we stayed at isabove the Tankerton slopes that lead down to the beach at Tankerton. The beach is pebbles but clean. The town of whitstable is quaint with small independent shops. There is an excellent fish snd chip shop in the town Jones, although that is closing down soon. Plenty of lovely restaurants and coffee shops.

This was an extremely short trip so we could only sample a bit of the town but we loved it. Lots of individual shops, cafes and restaurants. Interesting pubs and a small but fascinating museum. Also managed to have a look round the Harbour too. Had a drink at the Twelve Taps - that offer a tasting board of 3 x small beers. And found a fish and chip shop with attached restaurant that did gluten-free fish and chips.

Lovely small seaside town interesting harbour area, great unique historical properties. Interesting high street lots of small specialty shops. Great walks along beach with local cafes and restaurants.
Street parking not always easy down narrow residential roads.
Not so bad off season but imagine high season parking very busy in the town
The lady Charlotte at the Hotel Continental was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The apartment was right in the middle of everything that we needed. The parking facility is fantastic, being able to park undercover right underneath the apartment. It was very clean, brilliant shower, and plenty of space. TV was easy to use and had plenty of coffee/tea etc available. Overall am very happy with our stay and will definitely be recommending and coming to visit again! Again I must reiterate how fantastic Charlotte was at the hotel.
The B&B was very comfortable and clean with Sue being a wonderful host. The cooked breakfast’s were very good and Sue would find an alternative if you wanted something different. Parking is very difficult in Whitstable but the hotel has access to a couple of parking spaces round the corner which is very useful and included in the cost. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep every night.
Fabulous location- Check in was ok, just check in hotel continental and parking was an easy 5-10 minute walk. (For those complaining, at least you don't have to pay extra for parking!)
The room was clean and bright, and in the best little location. You can hear the other guests, but not annoyingly so. Really enjoyed it, and for the price, location and room quality i would stay again!
A lovely cosy room right in a perfect location in Whitstable. Lower score on the facilities as bathroom/shower so tiny I had go go back into the room to turn around but did not detract from our stay. The kitchen facilities are very limited but so happy to have the fridge and be able to make a cup of tea before venturing out for breakfast
We absolutely loved everything - the hotel is in a beautiful location on Tankerton slopes, overlooking the sea, and the room we stayed in was lovely (wasn't the sea view, but we didn't mind)! The breakfast was delicious, and we also received a birthday gift - a free drink for each of us! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
lovely hotel close to the sea. plenty of eating places closeby in Whitstable. Very nice breakfast. We had a family room which was very well laid out. Comfortable beds. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. parking at the back of the hotel which is very handy. There is plenty tea, coffee etc. provided in the room.
The location was incredible, so close to the sea and to the high street with restaurants and shops. The Warehouse Cottages were modern and spotlessly clean with character and interesting features. For those who drive, they also had a parking space available, including EV chargepoint
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. The location is excellent for both the sea (literally a 30 second walk) and the town. The beds were extremely comfortable and the furnishings are modern and clean. There's a good parking space directly on the property too
Beautiful and simple property with wonderful views. Fab location for the High Street, bars, cafés, and Whitstable Castle. Management and Hotel Continental staff at the end of the phone for help if and when needed. Added bonus of a parking space.
Beautiful accommodation. Fabulous, attentive hosts. The property is immaculate with very thoughtful touches to make your stay especially special. Very dog friendly. Would certainly recommend. The best stay we have had in Whitstable.
Penny Lodge - Retro apartment stay on the water front in Whitstable. A 3 bedroom apartment straight out of the 70's (in a cool way) with breakfast for 3 for less than a a standard hotel room elsewhere. Great value.
It was comfortable, clean and quiet.
There was some tea, coffee, milk , bread etc left which we had not expected. Parking was close and it was
Close to the beach.
Near the beach. Lovely walk into Whitstable. Quietness and comfortable bed. Availability of good places to eat. Recommend Marine hotel for evening meal.
