The big size of the room and the wet room bathroom was good plus having an opening window and room thermostat control The entrance / bar and lounge areas were attractive Downside- room on the ground floor with car parking used by contractors right outside and within earshot of very noisy 5am services vehicles ( n 102) A magnifying shaving/ make up mirror in the bathroom would be useful

A beautiful property, luxurious bedroom and bathroom (I think I was upgraded). Lovely, helpful staff, thanks also to those behind the scenes who made up my room. A quiet, spread out dining area with tasty food. Breakfast included. A romantic retreat if ever I saw one and tasteful Christmas decorations lending themselves to the general ambiance. I'd definately visit again if I was in the area :)

The hall and staff were exceptional.

The hall and staff were exceptional. Felt spoilt to be there in lovely surroundings with beautiful decor and so clean and well maintained. I can’t wait to stay again. Breakfast was also lovely, so well presented and then hot breakfast cooked to order. So impressed. Kirtstie reception manager was fantastic. Spoke to us at length as we loved the building. Printed history of it for us and gave us a tour of poinent historical areas. First class enthusiastic member of staff. Thank you.

We came here for a friend's wedding and I stay the night before and the night of. The rooms in the main estate are phenomenal...high ceilings grand appearance. They were just beautiful and the beds were super comfy ♡ The second night we were moved into the estate just off the wedding function room. Standard hotel room but even those were beautiful. Had a lovely view of the fields too. Staff were really friendly the wedding coordinator cracked me up esp running after the bride with her veil. He went above and beyond

I spend 200 days a year + out of the U.K. in hotels and rental apartments. I would go as far to say this hotel overall is the best I’ve ever stayed in. It just does all the basics so very well. Huge quiet room. Quality everywhere. Great staff. Nice good. Great breakfast. hard to pin it but the sum of the quality parts just makes it perfect. I’m talking hotels globally at upto $700 a night I’m comparing the sum of the parts with. great place too to explore from.

Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. our room was bigger than we’d expected and was absolutely immaculately clean. All staff were so lovely- couldn’t do enough to help you. There’s a restaurant serving good quality food and the breakfast has something for everyone. We would recommend and definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Clean nicely presented room. Nice grounds. Excellent breakfast. The dinner menu is limited but delicious. A nice bar opens till late with a pleasant outside seating area. Excellent value for what was on offer. Deffinitely on our list for future visits.

Convenient location just off M1. We use the hotel as a half way break on our journey to London. Very good value for money. We always stay in a superior room, which is exceptionally spacious, with a very comfortable bed.

We stayed at the hotel as it was only 15 minutes walk away from family who were visiting. The room was so comfortable and the twin beds were huge. I loved (honestly) hearing the church bells chime in the night.
