The hotel is not in a great area, its okay for a base if your out traveling, there is nothing around there that was worth looking at,, the concrete parking lot is very unwelcoming.. the heating in room 1 does not work, hotel wasn't bothered if it worked or not..breakfast okay...no vegan alternatives. The food in restaurant was okay..this hotel is just okay..it does lack a welcoming atmosphere...good thing dogs are welcome

The hotel is in a really good location it just needs a little TLC , the room wasn’t too bad the bed & pillows both had mattress Protectors on which was good, and two bedside tables but There wasn’t any bedside lamps which was annoying as I like to read when I’m in bed , no plug sockets near the bed either, the sockets seemed to be all in one place, the pillows were far too soft and definitely need replacing, I was pleased that the room had a bath but the plug was very rusty and needed replacing and all around the bath wasn’t very clean, also no hooks on the bathroom door to hang the towels up .
On the plus side the hospitality tray was very good and the lady on reception was very helpful as she always brought more for us when i asked .

Everything i experienced at the Valley was positive which is very, very, unusual for anywhere I stay. The room was superb, the bar area, where food was available too, was great. Due to covid there was only table service available but the girls were always available to supply me with a drink as and when I needed one. I sat in the "comfy" chair by the log burner and they even found time to keep that topped up and alight. If I was local to the area and not just a visitor, I'd gladly use the Valley regularly. I walked from the Valley to Holyhead, onto the South Stack lighthouse, and then back through Trearddur beach to the Valley. Roughly, 15 miles. In fairness I'd recommend going the other way around as the scenery, beaches and coves, cafes etc are better and more plentiful. Then if you're not a massive fan of towns like Holyhead, jump on a bus to get back once you get there. Oh, and if you're fascinated by fighter jets, simply look up when you get anywhere near Trearddur beach (which itself is a wonderful place to watch the sun go down) The RAF have a base near and while i was there, they were out practicing through the day.

I couldn't fault the staff but they could do with taking a customer service course. They where lacking of customer service skills. From the woman on front desk to the bar and breakfast staff just hadn't the level of customer service skills you could expect from a hotel. Except for the radiator not being able to turn off or turn down, the room was comfortable. The food was very nice that I got on the second night.

I have been travelling to Trearddur bay for 35yrs and have often seen and driven past the Valley Hotel. I have now visited the hotel where my mother stayed many years ago Ironically in the same room and on the same bed. I suppose that when my children visit this Hotel 35yrs from now they may decide to turn the matress over to give it that lovely concrete feeling -i must admit it keeps you alert i didn't sleep a wink and enjoyed every bit of the sunrise at 5.00am . i think this place should be on antiques roadshow!.

A casual, friendly hotel, good food and excellent service, staff are very friendly and helpful. good value for money. Some of the rooms are very small and they are all different so if you haven't stayed there before, its a bit of a lottery how big your room is going to be.
One thing which is very personal but just took the shine off my stay was that the hotel is dog friendly (like loads of hotels these days) but they also allowed dogs in the dining room and breakfast room which I disagree with when I am eating.
Far exceeded my expectations. booked as an inexpensive stop over before an early ferry. Everything was better than expected, especially considering the modest price I payed. The room was small but clean and adequate, on suite a good size. The food and drink were again well above expectation. the one aspect that made the valley really stand out though were the staff, helpful and charming. The duty manager and young lady serving behind the bar couldn’t have been more helpful. plenty of parking
The hotel is very comfortable and the restaurant offers excellent food, beautifully presented at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and welcoming, particularly the cleaning staff who did an excellent job. Breakfast offered a good choice and again well cooked and presented. There is a large, free car park. Dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. There is a lovely garden area with plenty of space.
A very last minute booking, trying to find a hotel that was dog friendly. Checked in 1 hour after booking. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Did not realise that breakfast was included for the price we paid so was very pleasantly surprised. Dog understandably not allowed in restaurant, but staff reserved us a table in the bar for dinner.
I received a telephone call whilst en-route to check all was ok and they advised the restaurant didn't take orders after 9 pm. The hotel was clean and comfortable with pleasant engaging staff. Breakfast was very efficiently organised, filling out a preference chart the night before and the food was exceptional.
Sadly we were unable to get a breakfast as the hotel was short of staff. We would not have booked here had we known this beforehand. I was visiting a relative in a nearby home so had to drive into Holyhead to get breakfast then back to Valley. Meant we had to check out of hotel much earlier than necessary.
Good prices on drink and food staff were very friendly, breakfast was first class.Arrived late got a call from manager asking if we were ok and did we need any assistant, large hotel chains could learn from this type of attention.First class experiance all round.
It is a very nice hotel, very local, with an exceptional restaurant visited by the locals. The breakfast was also fantastic. The room was nice and comfortable. Parking at the door. Excellent value for money. The location is ideal for the Holyhead ferry.
this is a very basic, older, hotel. the single room was quite small but there was an attached bathroom. the staff seemed nice but they were busy with the bar area so I had very little interaction with them. great location!
The hotel was easy to find, had good parking, a nice restaurant, a TV area, and the staff were generally excellent. The cooked breakfast was also excellent. The room was quiet and had everything I needed.
The hotel was great and also the restaurant was great too.
Spacious rooms , clean and ,free parking and WiFi too.
Restaurant had good food outside garden and a selection of drinks .
Easy to book .
simple large rooms with baths. late checkin available. easy checkout process. large carpark with lots of room. good food venues near hotel. bath available with rooms
