The property was an end unit in a residential area. The property owners communicated with me in a timely manner about where to find the key to the back door, etc., and they left a very helpful binder in the kitchen with information about the property and about the local area, etc. The owners also left a selection of cereal, eggs, bread, etc. so that we could prepare our own breakfast, which was a nice touch. There were many restaurants within walking distance of the property, though, so it was easy to have a meal out if desired.

This delightful 2 bedroomed cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful historic market town of Wetherby. It is discreetly and privately situated at the end of a mews terrace with full width bi-folding doors leading directly from the large breakfast kitchen into the quiet and tranquil sun-filled rear courtyard. Recently fully renovated with flexible bedroom space that will be made up to suit your requirements of either twin, king size or single beds accommodating up to 6 people. Wetherby town with its gorgeous river walks and bustling market are less than three minutes walk from your front door. The perfect blend of comfort and town centre convenience. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we possibly can so we have equipped our beautiful home with everything you’ll need for a fantastic stay and as a base to explore the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. The large breakfast kitchen area allows for separate socializing and TV viewing away from the living area. Fresh bedding and towels are provided for each new guest. On-site secure parking for one or two vehicles. *As responsible hosts, we deep clean & disinfect all surfaces between stays.
Hi, we're Matthew and Lynn and we live locally in Wetherby. Our children Nicholas, Bryony and Georgia are all grown up and live in London and they visit us all the time, often staying at 'Number One'. Bryony is married to Andrew and they have Arlo (5) and Monty (1). Nicholas and Laura have Benjamin who is also one. We have a little dog called Bailey and we love taking him for walks in the local countryside. We really enjoy keeping fit by cycling, running and walking locally. It is amazing to meet so many lovely people from all over the UK and the world who come to stay with us at 'Number One'!
The River Wharfe wends its way around and through Wetherby and affords beautiful riverside walks past and under the town’s weir and bridge. For entertainment, Wetherby boasts a full range of shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants and market square trading on Thursdays and Sundays. Wetherby lies close to the M1 and is centrally located between Harrogate, York and Leeds. The famous Wetherby Racecourse lies at the edge of the town and historic houses including Harewood House, Termple Newsam and Newby Hall are all within easy reach as are the Yorkshire Dales. Any or all of these will provide a great day out. Desirable wedding venues including Woodhall Spa, Rudding Park and ‘The Normans’ at Bilborough all lie very close by. Whether you are intending to walk, ride, cycle or even play golf or fish, Wetherby is the ideal base to explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside from. The cottage is newly available for your stay so please come and enjoy everything it and Wetherby have to offer. Matthew and Lynn look forward to welcoming you.
