A 20 minute brisk walk down to Noss Mayo and the friendly atmosphere of the locals is recommended. We visited "The Swan" pub and ate a nice Sunday lunch before heading back up the hill to our accommodation. For those that are a little unsteady on their legs, the hills may be a little challenging.
If driving, be prepared for the unexpected as the single lane country roads can and often require drivers to reverse and give way to oncoming traffic.
Noss Mayo and the surrounding area is beautiful and shows that we have all that is needed here in the UK for a holiday away, The UK has so many charming places to visit, we just need to open our eyes and appreciate them.

The most beautiful village! Ate in The Swan - superb! Spent many a high tide at Pope's Quay crabbing and jumping in the water. Played tennis in the courts. Walked around the headland - spectacular scenery. This really is one of the prettiest parts of the UK I have ever been to.

It doesn't have the feel of a touristy village -- not least because there's not enough parking space for it to be swamped by visitors or cars. And there isn't a single shop! (but there is at Newton Ferrers). It's a great (short or long) walking centre. We liked it a lot.
Ship Inn was excellent. The causeway to Newton Ferrers was fun at low tide. The coast footpath/track ("the Revelstoke Drive") which starts near the Ship Inn is an easy and rewarding walk even for the slowest/most nervous of walkers.
To reach the village in the car will require patience as well as skill at reversing and using "passing places", as the road into it is twisty and narrow -- but it's worth it !
