Company info

Hello my name is Colum. My partner Elaine and I will be your hosts during your stay at Millbrae Lodges. We started renovating the property little over two years ago, a labour of love as I did most of the work myself. There are photographs of the renovations as it progressed for guests to view during their stay. I have lived in the area all of my life and have plenty of local stories and knowledge of the history to share with my guests if they are interested. We look forward to welcoming you during your stay.

Property info

A warm welcome awaits you at Millbrae Lodges. Steeped in history, this property was built in the 1700’s and was originally used for farming purposes. The accommodation still retains original features and characteristics, with a small river running through the courtyard. A gate keeper’s cottage is also attached to the lodges, with historians stating it had the first toilet in the countryside with running water. The toilet still remains intact today! Historians also report that one of the notorious United Irishmen lived in the main house.
