Plenty of choice for breakfast. Cooked breakfast was very tasty and expertly cooked 😊👍 The location was very peaceful and relaxing. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and it was really nice to have fresh milk for teas and coffees.

Meadowland Farm sits in the beautiful Torridge valley just off the A386 near Dolton, close to the Tarka Trail and RHS Garden Rosemoor. The B&B provides en-suite rooms, breakfast with home-produced ingredients, free WiFi and on-site parking. The rooms have either an en suite shower room or a private bathroom and all have free WiFi access, TV with satellite channels, a sofa, hairdryer and free toiletries. Outside guests have their own garden furniture on the terrace and have use of a barbecue. Secure storage is also available for bikes. The property offers free parking. The farm is located next to the river Torridge in glorious unspoilt country - our guests often comment on how quiet and peaceful it is here. The original house is over 250 years old and has been completely refurbished and extended over the last 3 years. The family suite has a king-size double bed and two 3' beds with an suite shower room and private external entrance. Purpose-built for B&B guests, it is modern and ideal for those who want to come and go as they please. We have now added an extra bedroom to this suite to make it a truly family room or for those who want to use it as a twin bedded facility. Guests are able to walk over our land down to the river Torridge as well as meeting our flock of Exmoor Horn sheep and our Berkshire pigs.
Lucie and her husband Simon came to Meadowland Farm in 2010 and completed a major renovation of the house and surrounding land. We have done much of the renovation ourselves in between our various part-time jobs - Lucie used to work for a local veterinary practice but now concentrates her efforts on the B&B business whilst Simon is a consultant for a number of companies.
We are located on the Tarka Trail and are also just a short distance away from the coast-to-coast Cycle Route 42 so we are ideally placed for hikers and cyclists. We have a number of good pubs close by where guests can enjoy the local atmosphere together with excellent food and drinks (we can usually give cyclists a lift to and from the pub for their evening meal). The RHS Garden Rosemoor is just a 15-minute drive up the valley and there are many other lovely gardens open to the public in the area. The valley is rich in wildlife and we see Red Deer, Buzzards and Kingfishers on the farm whilst Otters can be seen in one of the three Devon Wildlife Trust nature reserves within a 10-minute drive of the farm. We are located mid-way between the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks as well as the rugged North Devon coastline, all of which are an easy day trip by car.
